Great news Runner! Hope things go well in Jan.
Has anyone read 'Pink for a girl' by Isla McGuckin? It's about her infertility, I think I'm only at 1/5th the stages she went through, but it really is an inspiring book. Feel all optimistic and uplifted after finishing it, and no, it doesn't end in a baby. Worth a read x0 -
Whattodonow wrote: »lilymay - ouch, sorry yours didn't go quite so smoothly. it's hard not to be tense! I mean, you have some kind of contraption shoved up your bits with a lady peering down trying to squirt ink inside! Not a very relaxing experience. I did get to see the pics but couldn't make head nor tail of them to be honest
what does bicornuate mean?
next step clomid, presumably pescribed end of feb when my next appointment is. The doc told me that was the next step if HSG was ok. So I'll be on the clomid train with you... bring on feb!
Bicornuate is just the name for the (very unusual) shape of my uterus. A normal uterus is like the shape of an upsidedown triangle. Mine is shaped like a love-heart. There are 2 'chambers' instead of one big open space.
And it seems like we are in the same boat! I should be on clomid right now but them cancelling my appointment 2 weeks ago meant I missed the start of this cycleNext appointment is Friday so that's when I'll get my pills. Can't start them until Jan cycle though.
Whattodonow wrote: »And I really really really hope that too!!
(I think Lilymay gets her pescript in Jan, so she can be my clomid buddy, is this right Lilymay?)
Yep, I will be starting Jan..but as we are both going to get BFP's in December we can be bump buddies instead:o

Ooo, how interesting! I've been pregnant 3 times and been through 2 full term pregnancies and only found out about mine last March after I had an ultrasound because my c-section scar was giving me so much pain. They would never have known otherwise. Apparently I have been incredibly lucky to have had 2 pregnancies and not had placenta praevia with either as apparently we are more susceptible. I did go into prem labour with DS @ 28 weeks but they were able to stop it thankfully.
I do wonder sometimes if I waa ever meant to have children. My body just isn't very good at it!14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -

I've had a bad few days. At the weekend I went to 2 family related children events. There were so many small children and heavily pregnant women I got really upset. Mr P was lovely and gave me a big hug.
For 2 years I've been able to handle not getting pregnant. But as my due date should have been next month I'm not taking it well. I have booked the day off work.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Many congratulations Runner - here's to a boring and uneventful 8 months..!
++++++++
Peonie - I hate situations like that. Unfortunately, there's been an ongoing baby boom for the last few years that shows no signs of abating. I've spent 7 years TTC (with my one little miracle right in the middle!), and the bumps and babies never get easier, I'm afraid.
Especially on days like today i.e. CD1. It actually makes me angry now - I keep thinking 'what gives you the right?!'
Totally illogical, but at the end of the day it's not fair and it's hard to cope with the unfairness.
And now I have Christmas to get through, in the company of bump-rubbing 8 months pg SIL. Woo and hoo.
I'm so sick of the whole subject in the middle. I google low-AMH miracles, but that doesn't help - it makes me think a miracle might be possible, then CD1 comes crashing in to ruin that little fantasy. I need to focus on something else - I'm going to order some paperbacks..
I was in town with a credit card this pm, so today's pity party included: new dress from Monsoon (SIL's baby's Christening will be coming up in new year..), bath bombs from Lush, a new pair of wellies (fancy ones!)
Have a good Christmas everyone, whatever stage you're at.0
