Morning all, sorry all the brownies are now gone! So today instead I offer bananas, clementines, apples and grapes. Well, I have to balance things out, don't I?! ;)

Neither of us smoke, we rarely drink - maybe a glass of wine every fortnight or so - and we eat plenty of fruit and veg, take our fertility vitamins, and have cut down caffeine to a minimum (I have one ordinary tea a day) and still we aren't expecting! So I still say that you can cut out everything you are told to and still find it makes no difference, so just do what you feel is best for you. If the solution was really as simple as cutting something out of your diet (or adding something in) then none of us would be on this board! :D

And you lot really made me laugh out loud this morning with your TMI alerts - as if anything we read on here can be TMI after all we've been through (and still experiencing!!) but anybody taking a peek on this thread would be under no illusions with all those warnings! Ah, you so have to keep a sense of humour, don't you... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Morning Madmac - we have to hope that anyone reading it understands what TMI means!!! (They may have a shock otherwise)

    Sulks:mad: I dont like fruit I want brownies:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

(But my legs lady has just rung and Ive got to chart my weight morning and night and take water tablets so Id better be good!)

Well its day 6 here, and Im gearing myself up to give my DH the time of his life for the next week! Ill start slowly though, dont want to build expectations up too high now do I!!!:rotfl:

Hope you all have a good day - Im taking MIL shopping so definately wont have one here! Please Madmac, cook brownies today as I will need a pick-me-up later!

Lilo - you are gold: talking your MIL shopping!!!! I would be dead....

I have some biscuits on the plate here (going down fast) and a pot of green jasmine tea of anyone is quick enough to join...

Well, I think I am out this month. Started spotting yesterday afternoon and I seem to be getting more brown discharge today (TMI - no alert, I am sure you are all used to this now...). So, just need to wait for AF to arrive, get over another disappointment and get on with my life... It is not getting easier, when I released that we have already stepped in a third year of ttc. With no luck what so ever. And nothing wrong with either of us according to doctors. Great.

P.S. Madmac, I'll have clementine. Saves me going downstairs to the kitchen...

  • Mmm yes a brownie would go down quite nicely right now - my boss is just about to make me a lovely cup of (decaff) tea.

I wrote a nice long post last night and then I lost my internet connection for about 5 mins so lost the post - rubbish.

Thanks for all your opinions on drinking, think I will cut down even more but not cut out completely.

Hamish - I have a diet coke habit too! I am cutting that down but want to replace it with something else that will fit in with my diet and isn't alcoholic.

I need to up my veg intake, not sure about going down the organic route just yet, we cook from scratch and rarely have takeaways etc so my diet is relatively healthy (apart from the wine).

Back to the hospital tomorrow to have another look for follicles.... I don't know how they make anything out at all, it just looked like a grey screen with bits of darker grey. CD 16 today and a free weekend so plenty of time for BFing hooray:T

Have a good day one and all
    xx

Hello ladies, ooh is there a clemetine left? we ran out yesterday!

Well my best friend had her baby yesterday, a little boy :) not sure when i will get to see it as they live nearly 100 miles away! oh well :)

OH and i are having a bit of fun now shame it is a little late in the month, but who knows, AF is due in about 4-5 days so i suppose there is still hope! (although not really anything to suggest success).

On the drinking front i will have a couple of glasses most weekends, but don't drink most days. I am not sure about having to cut down on everything fun, i had a e-mail through this morning talking about how anyone over 30 would have been born to parents who possibly smoked and drank all the way through pregnancy as the guidelines were not there! so i believe that a little of what you fancy does you good!

What is the betting i get told this is all wrong when i see the fertility clinic in December?

Oh well, i hope you all have a wonderful afternoon, i am spending this evening with a very close friend who was dumped just over a week ago, by the guy we all thought was The One! They had been together longer than me and OH and bought their house. She was hoping for a proposal and then babies, but he just came home one day and said "you are not the one, i am ending this now" then he left and went to london with a mate for the weekend!! So i think wine may be in order tonight and lots of tissues.

    Take care :):)

That is horrible!!!! I know of someone (went to uni together), who's husband after a few weeks of marriage said he doesn't have 'enough space' (they lived together for about 5-6 years before) and left. Mind you, I think they got back together after a while.

Oh, and my cousin's cousin (on the other side) was together with her now husband for 10+ years, when one day he decided it was not to be. A while later they got married...

What I think I am trying to say, maybe he just needs 'time' to realise that she is 'THE ONE'!

Crikey, you just never know what's around the next corner do you, what with all this chat about long term relationships ending. No matter how comfy things seem, or how devoted you feel... that makes me so sad. I believe so firmly in the sanctity of marriage that I have thought long and hard about accepting this proposal - I know that once I've committed to it, my view on the whole relationship alters. Why can't men take relationships more seriously?  So sad. I do hope it gets sorted out and time is just too short to mess about with each others feelings like that. Give her a hug from me! :o

Yup, clementines (bought half price in Waitrose, so they're nice ones!) are sitting here waiting to be peeled. Nobody for a banana? Or are we dealing with those too often in our lives in other forms at the moment? :rotfl:

Day 12 for me, high on the CBFM for second day running and so a peak is expected soon. Here's hoping OH feels up for it and not too tired later...

    Hello ladies

Is there room for one more, I have been on the other board for a while but today I have been referred for IVF and just feel like over here would be better for me, its a bit long but will add my story

I started trying 4 years ago but then had to stop to have a hip replacement, after hip replacement could not try for 6 months something to do with the thing the replacement is made of, started trying again then stopped 6 months later exactly a year later to me having my hip replaced to have both knees replaced, started trying again but then a year later had my right elbow replaced then 4 months later had the other done then started trying again but got refered to fertility specialist and then started on clomid because I was not ovulating, got my BFP in Jan but had m/c, took a few months off, started trying again in April but unfortunatly not got another BFP then comes today and I am referred for IVF. I don't know a thing about it so I am going to do lots of reading tonight I was quite upset as was expecting something else before IVF plus the fact im not going to be able to save if the first one does not work until November (im determained this will be my DFD) due to debt

Hi Nichart, I'm sorry to see you over on this thread, but don't be disheartened that IVF is the next step. At least they are doing something and you just never know what's around the next corner. You know you're very welcome on here and there'll be plenty of advice and support coming your way! Big hug hun, I'm thinking of you, x
