Ginvzt, well done for tackling the christmas issue. As you have saved so much money by not going home, why not treat you and OH to a special treat that you wouldnt otherwise have had? - And I do find cats a lovely addition to christmas!!!!

    Lilo

Oh, I will 'treat' myself!!! To some decent Christmas decoration. As I said to OH last night, since we are not going anywhere, we are going to decorate house this year (we do just a bit each year, as we are not here over holidays anyway). But this year - I am buying a new Christmas tree, some garlands, some tree decorations. The lot. I found a tree that would fit in the spot I would like on MS website last night for £50. (I need a very slim one, as we only have about 70-80 cm next to the sofa available)

Hi ladies, thanks for all your support over my friend, she was better than i thought last night, although i think it is going to be long a slow. No wine last night, she is not eating and does not trust how she will be on alcohol, so i will save that for another day.

On our ttc front i think AF is on her way, it is due around wednesday and i think it will be on time, so i may well have some wine this weekend, i really don't think there is any chance of anything else this month, so might as well enjoy ourselves and toast my best friends baby :)

I hope you all have a fab weekend and i will see how you are all going on Monday :)

LL, so pleased to read it went well and hope you have a great weekend, x

Lilo! !! Shopping online til late, you're a woman after my own heart ;) I will guess you've crossed quite a few things off your Christmas shopping list and hopefully bought yourself something nice as a treat too! :D

I was so cream crackered last night, I just slept like a log! So nothing exciting to report there...

Ginvzt, I like the sound of your slimline tree as we could do with something like that. I found one last year in John Lewis but it was so expensive and the money ended up going on vitamin supplies and not the tree!! Isn't it frightening to think how much we have spent on our TTC journey  :rotfl:

So we are not alone here today lilo!!!

My Christmas decorations will NOT go up before the second half on December. At home we always put them out on 23rd or 24th and took them down on Three Kings. I am going to follow this tradition. I love Christmas, but when they last for most of the year, it sort of wears off me...

The Christmas tree in M&S is £50. It is a 6ft one!!!! A bit taller than I was going to go for, but hey - it fits the most important characteristic of being slim! (not like me!) I loe this one from John Lewis, but I don't think OH will sign up for it:

Well, AF showed up. I am not feeling too upset. But that 'secret' birthday wish still hasn't come true. Maybe Christmas?... The good thing is that it the cycle was shorter than previous month, so I am down from 31 days to 29. So, another Clomid cycle waiting for me - third one. Two down, two to go...

  • Leopardlady and nichart, sorry that AF is here/on its way.

Madmac yes I have got most of my christmas sorted now - the only trouble with doing it so late is I didnt have my brain in, and have bought too much for someone - oops. May need to do a bit of taking back, but on the good side I managed to get something for quite a bit cheaper than I had bought it, so I have saved myself some too.

On the good news, its day 7 and despite the late time we went to bed, we set about our bding  so we are off the mark for this month!

And DS is off overnight to his godparents so we have a bit of freedom this weekend:D:D:D (So there wont be any late night posting!)

    Have a good weekend everyone.

  • I loooooove Christmas ginvzt, so its as near to 1st December as poss for me, but I am itching to take them down from boxing day onwards. Once the day has passed, I dont want them up anymore. DH insists they stay up til 12th night, but I hate starting the new year with last years decorations still up! But I certainly agree that Christmas is done to death now, the meaning of it is disappearing under consumerism - which is a shame I think. I usually spend December running around like a headless chicken, but I am determined that this year I will be more organised and actually enjoy the things I have planned. simples!

I haven't got one yet! Well, we do have a small one, I think 80cm with fibre optic lights, but I want a bigger one this year, so that I can put all the presents under!

I might go through garden centres this weekend to have a proper look.

Oh, I have just ordered some flannel PJs from La Senza (I think it as in Martin's email) 2 for £20 (one for me, one for gift, probably my sister or mum, usually £20 each!) and one satin PJs. And - 14% cashback from Quidco (hope it works!!!). How good am I?
