 Bless your cotton socks. ;)
How are you guys doing? How's the saving? How's the teen?

 We are good thanks, saving is getting there, have just made urology appt, so hopefully things will start to move quickly for the sperm retrieval, then a wait for the SA on it, hopefully there will be some good stuff there that just isn't getting to where it should! I would ideally like to have everything (be it ivf or icsi) before Christmas as I turn 40 at the end of December. I have no idea if that is a realistic timescale or not though.

As for the teenager :mad::mad: he is the most frustrating person I have ever encountered, but he can also be the most adorable person ever!:)

I hope you and mr bz are doing okay-all this emotional seesawing is exhausting x

WTDN i had mine at Whiston, which is a teaching hospital for a Liverpool Uni (can't remember which one though) and it was a HyCoSy, done by ultrasound so combined with an internal exam.

I was told HyCoSys are easier (i forget how, maybe because no radiation) but with the same results so preferable so maybe it'll be the same in Liverpool hospital itself. x x
Thanks, yup looking at Hewitt centre looks like its hycosys too. Although it says it should be one of the first tests. My next app is nov do I hope they don't book me in for that and then I have another two month wait for next step. :(

Primmer - that's exciting. Really really really hope for the best. If I remember rightly back on the trying for a baby thread you weren't sure about even going to the docs? I hope I'm remembering correctly! So hope it works out for you xxx

Hey mrs happy what a nice post. :)

Oooh when's your appointmen? Have you decided on the clinic?

Thanks. Exhausting is the word. :o

I was doing fine today/tonight, until we just watched one of our favourite shows, and it's so obvious one of the actresses has a huge bump that she's hiding that now my pg radar has been turned on full and I can't just relax and enjoy the show :(:o

WTDN, I don't understand what you mean by 2 month wait?

BZ - good to hear dh called counsellor, it is a big step and hopefully he will get to the stage where he feels ready to make an appointment. You have both been through so much in the last 12 months. Glad to hear your medication is working as it must be so physically and emotionally draining to have bleeding and also good to get back on other tablets to help with your pain.

MrsHappy - good to hear from you, great that your saving has been going well and that you have made urology appointment.

WTDN - the time between each appointment and test can be frustrating. We had blood tests and SA through the doctors and when they showed no problems we were referred to fertility specialist. On seeing fs, she went through the results of our tests, that she would recommend having a hsg. Then had to make appointment for hsg which has to be done at a certain point in the cycle. I think you justbhavebto try and look at it as being on the right path and are happening albeit slower than we would like.
You are right in that I wasn't sure about going to docs mainly because I was unsure that dh would be up for it but he really has given it 100% and gone to all appointments even those he didn't need to come to.

One step - good luck if you test today, will be keeping everything crossed for you.

Chickpea - really hope your weekend isn't too bad. My sil is pregnant and is due to give birth on the day I am due to take the pregnancy test so that maybe painful. Sending hugs to you.

Thank you to everyone for all your good wishes, it is really nice to come on here particularly as only one friend and my boss knows I am having ivf it is great to get support from all of you.

We are going with Glasgow Nuffield, appointment on the 11th October, it's where our NHS consultant does his private practice, and we like him-we have done a bit more research as well :p not just made the decision based on a smiling consultant! His name is Dr Vani, which always makes me think of fanny and then I get the giggles-very mature I know :p

Well we had our first app first week in sept, then had blood test and scan, and he official results for these at next app which is 14th nov. nothing about a tube test. So I hope at the next app they don't say ok you need a tube test and you'll get results of this in jan. don't know whether to ring them and enquire.

May as well.:) If you don't you'll be wondering anyway. You've nothing to lose :)

I still cynically think they drag these tests out over 6 months in the hope you'll get pregnant in the meantime anyway :p:o

Btw, WTDN, I don't want to alarm you, but it's just occurred to me that the waiting list for my HSG was 5 months _pale_ You may need to prepare yourself for an NHS style wait, whatever they recommend :o
