Hello ladies
Just thought I'd pop in to sprinkle some baby dust. My little miracle man is 6 this week, he drives me mad sometimes, but all I have to look back to are the years of ttc'ing, 2 ectopics, IVF, hideous pregnancy with SPD and not too nice birth with a stay in SCBU all thrown in for good measure....
I honestly felt as if we could never overcome all the hurdles, it all seemed as if the odds were stacked against us at each stage....but we did, and so can you all.
Tips: Eat healthily (I mean really healthily), exercise, give up smoking and drinking and TRY to not let it consume your life (I know this is easier said than done) but do try to enjoy the other parts of your life.

AF has caught up with me also, so at least today I've reset the CBFM to start yet again - boo!
BTW if anybody is going near a Superdrug, I got a box of CBFM sticks reduced to £9.99 in Plymouth - they are only dated until November, but I think I'll risk it as I'm sure they will last another couple of weeks! Worth a look if you are in need of some.
Fanny - thank you for such an uplifting tale - not sure I can quite go the whole hog on the healthy bit as my wine is the only thing keeping me sane from clinically depressed OH, but the rest I can put a big tick to already, so part ways there! You did make me laugh with your 'save like mad' comment! :rotfl:0 -
Well, it is quiet here!!!! I had a nice weekend with friends, and a relaxing Sunday afternoon after all that cleaning on Friday and Saturday.
We went to Ludovico Einaudi's concert on Monday night and had a day off yesterday to rest and have a sleep-in. Also, I had a surprise phone call on Friday from a friend in Germany saying that she hasn't posted anything for my birthday as she had a 'personal courier' - her husband was coming with work visit near us, so we met up last night after he finished work and had a nice meal and evening catching up.
I am on CD 20 today. I can tell exactly when I ovulated this month because of enormous pain (on the morning of my birthday!!!!), and hope we did enough bding to get a chance at success. But, remembering that my last and only so far Clomid cycle was 31 days, I still have a while to wait to find out if we are lucky this month.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Hi Ladies, oh Ginvzt, i saw Ludovico Einaudi in Southampton last year, he is wonderful isn't he! I hope your birthday turns out to be the right day
Well i had my appointment with the gp and she refered me immediately, so i have an appointment on 21st December at the gynae department in Swindon. My OH is going to register at the same docs and they will get him to do a sperm test immediately, then we can go from there! I was surprised they referred me so quickly i was expecting them to say i had to go away and do more or try something different. So it was a good morning. The this afternoon i had a 1.5 hr chat with a friend from school who i haven't spoken to in almost17 years!!!! It was wonderful, so now to get OH ok with everything and see about some bding tonight, i think i am oving today?
Thanks a lot Fanny it is good to hear the happy endings while we are all focussed on the here and now too much
Hope everyone has a good eveningLeopardlady

Fantastic, Leopardlady - glad your GP is not dragging his/her heels! And you managed to get your appointment before Christmas, so that will give you something to look forward as well.
I am looking forward to go home - really fed up with work... Might even skip yoga, as I just want to relax a bit...
(well, my b-day was last week... So I do hope we did enough!!!!)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Hi everyone,
Day 27 for me. I am waiting for AF to arrive tomorrow as I don't feel I have any symptoms that might suggest that its not coming
Well, According to CBFM, I am oving no probs and OH is taking every supplement I have ordered him to take to help his situation.
Something positive must happen soon! <silent scream :eek::eek:>
Great news that your GP is on the board LL.
Wishing everyone well on here! Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

For some reason I had it in my head that this month was going to be the month, but AF arrived this morning
I know I shouldn't build my hopes up and I usually don't but this month I felt more positive.
I think the positivity was due to me losing weight, although I've probably undone all the good work today

How do they time for egg collection? And how much monitoring do they do prior to egg collection (ie usually every two days for scanning).
thanks xx
Hi freckles, it basically proceeds exactly the same way - first scan at about day 5/6 to see what is developing, second usually decides egg collection date and then you have the injection that matures the egg at the time they decide and go up. It is more hit and miss than normal ec, as obviously they dont control your cycle. But that said, it is normally fairly predictable and they judge based on the measurement of the follicles. I have had to abandon a cycle as the follicle wasnt developing to a standard, which I chose to do. They do do bloodtests as well to check that your levels indicate that the follicles contain an egg and that everything is as it should. I would base any decisions on their advice, if it is not going to plan, it is better to abandon and try again next month. Obviously you can do it everymonth if you want until you get a result!
Personally as I said before, I find it much easier, almost like a normal cycle, just with the fertilisation bit done for you!!!
Ask away if you think of any more questons!

:mad:Right, last post before I am off in the morning. I have had a :mad::mad::mad::mad: day!!! We are driving to france at 5 in the morning - our car is still at the dealers with no brakes. They very kindly serviced our car on Friday, and gave it back with c***p brakes, said it must have gone over the weekend!!! They knew we needed the car by the end of today - they fitted the new part (£300+) and that wasnt the problem. Oh, and no we cant take the courtesy car to France - cant you cancel the holiday:mad::mad::mad:
No we :mad::mad::mad: cant!!!!
Still, in a MSE way, it is probably the final nail in the coffin for my LandRover, even though I love it with a passion. So we may go from the sublime to the ridiculous and buy a peuguot 107. (But cheap")
Anyway on a fertility front, I am on day 26, having had 2 'spots'. Signs are that AF is on its way, but I need it to hold out until Saturday is day 1 because I need day 1 - 3 blood tests and I have the appointment booked for Monday - cant get them done in France!!
So, will have my legs crossed:eek:
Anyway, stepdaughters OH is lending us his car so that we can go to France, and is having our car until we return so at least we can go on holiday, but what a palaver ! (I wont add that I burst into tears in Laura Ashleys car park as it makes me look stupid) We have our mickey mouse ears ready, we are all packed and we are going!!
Be good while I am gone, see you on Sunday - LiloLive on £4000 a year again for 20110
