Hi all!
Hope you ladies don't mind me asking a question.... I've been occasionally lurking of late, but trying not to think about ttc too much:rolleyes:....(fat chance!)
Anyway, I've decided to be more proactive of late and do all the things for charting my cycle and have ordered some things on tinternet (thermometer and tests, nice and cheap) and will check my cervix and fluids etc.
But, oh-the-perils of looking around on the internet... I saw a forum where they were discussing long cycles and this making your egg get too old to be fertilized.
I had a mc in march and since then my cycles have been 36, 36, 62, 47 and I'm currently on CD45. I think I've had a few period-ish pains over the last couple of weeks, but no AF.
Has anyone heard of the too-old-egg thing?
I was actually feeling quite OK about things lately, but this has suddenly made me worried...and that'll teach me to read too many things on the net:o

I'm not sure about the 'too old egg thing' but I had a consultant tell me once that if your cycles are consistently over a certain length then that might need investigating because you might not be oving.
If memory serves me correctly it was something like 45 days.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hi ladies, i am soo pleased for you Lilo, sounds like you have found a wonderful consultant
Good luck
I had a good break, i saw my very pg best friend, she was glowing
Then i had a day off yesterday for my birthday and we cleared the garden ready for winter and had a lovely meal cooked by OH and then out to the pub! yes drank a bit too much, but only on day 8 so not much harm to be done
We have started bding again so that is goodthen i have my first appointment next wednesday, so lets see if we find anything out? I would just like them to take some blood tests, but will wait and see what they say, it will be cd14, so still time i think?
Hope you are all feeling good, welcome to the newbies, sorry you have had to join us, but we are all very freindly and understand the mess that ttc can make of us all!
Right back to work as i have a long evening sitting here aheadLeopardlady

Ginvzt, I suspect I'm the guilty party in spreading the lowness - I'm so sorry! Blame my depressed OH, he started it! Hope the sun looks shinier for you soon, x
Tryingtodobetter - I am also not yet going forward with investigations due to circumstances with my OH's mental health, but still feel welcome on here to chat and so on as we've been trying for so long and just aren't getting anywhere! So please don't feel you can't chip in, you certainly can and the more the merrier I say!
Leopardlady, so pleased you enjoyed your break - and yippee for the BD returning - must be a positive sign in the LL household! Will be thinking of next Wednesday - looking like a busy week on here for some! x
Nadine, some of us can so so sympathise with the obsessing bit! Sometimes you just can't get away from it, can you, x
Ginvzt - will end with you again by just saying sorry, sorry, sorry:o:o

I think it's just the winter during in bringing the lowness. I always feel low when the nights are drawing in, leave the house in the dark, come home in the dark. Must buy a light box when I've paid off the CBFM lol
Still getting peaks but not the ful one yet. Is 5 days of peaks normal?0 -
Madmac - it is not your fault!!!! I think I know what the problem is, and OH is not going to have a happy wife today!
Leopardlady - happy birthday!!!!!!!! Glad you had a good day and I bet it was a very nice meal!
I have a day off - was hoping to do something nice today, but OH said he is going to work (well, I asked him to take a day off a while ago, but when he asked last week, I say it is up to him to decide... So, he decided to go to work, and booked an introductory lesson to archery for tonight. Yes - I am that boring, that even my OH doesn't want to spend time with me!!!!!!)
Ok, better get back to scrubbing the house and cooking for tomorrow...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Shel, by "peaks, but not full one" you mean two bars? That is high. I am on my second month of using it, and the first month I had 8 highs and then a peak. This month - 6 highs and now peak for the second day in a row. I know it might be a bit distorted, as I am on Clomid as well, but I can tell you I feel that egg coming out!!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Hi shel.
I had a CBFM for 6 months and my highs and peaks went like so...
Cycle 1 I had 16 highs with no peak.
Cycle 2 I had 2 highs, 2 peaks then 1 high.
Cycle 3 I had same as cycle 2.
Cycle 4 I had 5 highs, 2 peaks then 1 high.
Cycle 5 I had 13 highs, 2 peaks then 1 high. (this was a long cycle, 38 days so ov'd later than usual hence so many high days)
Cycle 6 17 highs with no peak.
