Lovely picture Angela, well done on your adoption.
Primmer, hope injections weren't too bad.
TTC - I have used accupunture with my 4 fresh ICSI goes and though it helped me relax I am not sure if it did anything else. I decided not to have it for my FET and I get pregnant so who knows, but if it helps to relax thats always a good thing.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0 -
I have yet another metformin question please ladies. For those of you taking it, how long did it take before you noticed some effect on the length of your cycles?
I've been taking it about 6/7 weeks, and am currently on CD28. Got another scan at lunchtime as FS thinks I will have ov'd by now but I'm just not convinced that I have yet.
The last few months I've ov'd on CD20, CD26 and CD22 (with no medication). I'm getting worried now that met & clomid have actually made things worse!
Tea Lover it wasn't so much an affect on my cycle as it actually gave me a cycle. first time i took it it gave me a 35 day cycle and i got pregnant, after the miscarriage my cycles went haywire again and i upped the dose and got a 42ish day cycle, and i was under the impression that 24-42 days regularly was considered within the realms of normal.
Although, how come they're giving you the medication if you're ovulating? i'd wonder if you wasn't doing it properly before and now you are and it's going to be a good egg with a good chance of being fertilized and implantingx

Well I've been a bit confused about this all along tbh. I though clomid & met were used if you had really long cycles, or no cycles at all. Mine were certainly irregular but usually between 32 & 45ish days, so not ridiculous. I know it's early days with the meds and things might settle down but so far they've either done nothing or made me ov later! But what do I know?! :rotfl:
If they give me that golden egg it'll all be worth it.
Just back from scan and I've finally ov'd. Some point between mon afternoon & thurs lunchtime. We DTD late mon night as that was the latest we could (SA 2pm today) so fingers crossed one has sneaked through.
The nurse said my womb lining looked lovely and I felt stupidly proud - like I'd made it by some special effort lol.0 -
interesting tea lover, wonder if they'll do similar with me, i hope so if it gives me a golden egg! i just want one, darn it! lol
hope you caught it first clomid tryx x

AFM, progesterone is making me cranky, but at least I've not had any bleeding for a couple of days! :j;) only a few more days to wait til I see the FS now... DH has now asked work if the FS appts count as a medical appointment for him, in terms of crediting the time back when he's not at work because of them, and they do, so that's good. He's been working back the time previously, taking flexi time, so it's good he won't have to do that now, especially as I can only see the appointments becoming more frequent if we do get sent to Assisted Conception.
Does anyone know, in the case of endometriosis, where the shed lining/menstrual blood goes to that can't come out the normal way (va.ginally) - from the bits that are attached elsewhere in the pelvic cavity? I'm assuming it's like eggs that get trapped - they get reabsorbed in the body eventually...??"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
BZ - good that you have had no bleeding for couple of days, I don't know how you cope with it. During this ivf treatment I had my af and now a week after it finished I have been bleeding again for the last four days with cramps and it has been horrid so I can sympathise. Good luck at fs appointment and good news about dh getting time off for them.
Injections are ok really it is more the thought of doing it which is worse, it is a bit fiddly to do as I have 3 vials of powder and 1 solution to mix and put in the syringe but I am getting the hang of it and it is not that bad really. I have a scan on Friday to see how I am responding and hopefully there will be several nice big follicles to show it has been working.0 -
I'm doing Ok thanks BZ. Just resting as much as possible. Had some cramps last night and I was thinking the worse but its seems to have gone now. I have had no more bleeding so I can only take that as a good sign. I will be 9 weeks on Tuesday.
Hope the appt goes well BZ.
Hope you get some good follicles on your scan Primmer.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0 -

Well after starting Metformin (I have PCOS) and not getting on with it so managed to get doc to switch to ER Metformin I am finally getting on better with it.
Following a little spotting last month .. this month I have finally had a period :T my first one since 2nd Sept 2011 :T I know this sounds a little silly but I can not tell you how amazing that felt. DH and I actually celebrated
Anyhow next step will be am I ovulating!! Currently CD20 and nothing yet.. not to disappointed yet as always had long cycles when I did.
""CLEAR BLUE REFILLS""
Something I have also discovered which may help you ladies (unless you already know) Is the refill sticks for the clear blue monitor work in the clear blue digital (smiley face one) I have a clear blue monitor but because of long cycles doesnt really work for me so I am using the cb digital and get on better with it. Stumbled upon a thread on a different forum where a lady had found it out.. i have tested for myself and it works.
