ETO - good luck, will keep fingers crossed for you.
AFM - got scan tomorrow to see if I have down regulated so hoping drugs have done what they should have.0 -
Thank you for the good luck wishes.
And hope the scan goes well tomorrow Primmer. It's not easy when everything's out of your control is it. xxxSPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
Good luck ETO, & thanks
Hope the scan goes well Primmer
DH has agreed to going to a private counsellor, so I will look for one for him this week. The NHS one was more harm than good, didn't remember him between sessions and then asked him the same questions each time...eg. Do you have any children? Despite DH telling him how painful it was that the answer was no, in the very first session:cool:

TTC40 - hope you and OH found a useful way to spend the bank holiday
sarah - great news, congratulations
AFM - follicle tracking scan #4 yesterday. Have one follicle at just over 18mm now so they think I'll ov in the next couple of days... which is absolutely typical as OH has SA on thursday so no BD allowed! We DTD last night, and now we have to wait till after the test so fingers crossed I ov today. I've got another scan on thursday to see if anything's happened.
Really hope the results of this SA are better than the first one.0 -
good luck ETO, fingers crossed!
Tea Lover, fingers crossed for your scan on thursday. i reckons you prewarn DH that whilst there's no boom boom before the SA, straight after is a different matter
BigZ i hope the new counsellor is much better, the one i had after my mc was worth her weight in gold so i'd say it's always worth trying til you find the right match x xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Tealover, I would seriously reconsider rebooking the SA. IMO, you're only on clomid for (usually) 6 cycles, so making the most of it is more important than the timing of the SA... Iyswim?? Especially while you have actual proof you're close to ov.
Hope that makes sense?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

That makes perfect sense, thank you. I was really torn on this, and spent ages discussing with the clinic yesterday. Ideally I wanted to rearrange the SA too (as you say, it seems by far the most sensible option) but the appts for that are made so far in advance. We've been waiting nearly 2 months for this one, and if we postponed it it would be at least another 3 months.
The results from the first one were so poor (on a lot of indicators) that they strongly advised we go ahead with it. Hopefully it will either a) be a much better result, or b) at least give us a better idea of what we're up against.
Clomid doesn't seem to be working brilliantly so far anyway (will be ov'ing later this time than previously unmedicated cycles!) so if we do get another poor SA result they'll be looking at whether there's any point continuing with it. We might be better off not wasting the next few months waiting for clomid, and moving onto the next step.
Phew... what an essay! Sorry about that :rotfl:.0 -
BZ - hope private counsellor will help - sending hugs
Tealover - difficult decisions but if there is potential for probs with SA, I think I would rather get the re-test done to know if it has improved. Really hope SA will be better this time.
AFM - scan this morning showed the sniffing worked and I have down regulated successfully so next stage is to stimm so injections start tomorrow which is a little scary :eek:0
