hey guys and gals, looking for some help, i have been trying for a baby for coming up on just over 6 years, we had one m/c 4 years ago and no luck since. we are due to start iui in next few months however my monthly visitor has not arrived, i am normally 31 days on average and very consistent however i am now on day 38!! i tested on wednesday and got a negative and i am going to test again tomorrow. i have had none of my usual symtpoms of craving chocolate, getting spots, cramp or headache, i have just been exceptionally tired that much that i am taking an extra two hour nap each day and have went off all fizzy juice unless it has loads of ice in it which has to be chipped! cant stand thought of eating chocolate or certain foods and sorry if tmi but get that sicky burp feeling every so often. also when i have been eating my fave foods like melon they have tasted very metally! it sounds to me like im pg but the test doesnt conclude to this. anyone had any similar situations - i am going to see gp on monday if af does not show by then

Well we got the phone call from the embryologist this morning. Not the news we were hoping for. Of the 11 eggs only 4 were mature. I knew they'd called me in too early. They've all been fertilised but only two are looking like they will be useable. So going in on Monday for the embryo transfer. Having two transferred that's if they survive and continue to develop. We're so gutted. I know they can only transfer two but thought we might have something to freeze, so that I could have another cycle whilst hubby is away if it was needed.

I know it only takes one to implant but was feeling more positive about this one. Right enough of the whining and worrying, got to keep a positive environment for the transfer.

Juju - stay warm & dry & rest up. Everything crossed for you that it's just a scare.

AFM - positive on digi ov test today - smiley face. Took me by surprise as it's CD12 & I normally get it on CD13/14 (I know I'm lucky to have regular cycles). Haven't BD'd for weeks! Tried a couple of weeks ago & OH couldn't complete & I couldn't be bothered last weekend! We don't normally get round to it during the week.

Hope that OH is ready today!

VK - do another test, if you know your body and symptons, everything crossed.

ETO - 4 is still a good number, like you say it only takes one, fingers crossed this is your time. Rest, relax and be positive.

Picked OH from hospital and we are both now chilling on the sofa watching tv which is what we probably be doing for the rest of the weekend. I have had no more bleeds and a few cramps here and there, fingers crossed baby is still with us and growing storng.

Hope you manage to relax. Maybe if you're finding waiting 5 weeks too stressful, you could arrange a private scan for 2-3 weeks time?

DH is really struggling. I'm not sure off he's got enough left in the tank, after losing his mum and the circumstances beforehand, to do fertilty/assisted conception battle too/so soon. I think if we get offered much more than a (unlikely) speedy surgery, we may have to push it back anyway for DH's sanity's sake... :huh:

I am now at the start of my 2ww. Had 2 embryos transferred this afternoon. So just chilling now. And not thinking about it. Well not much anyway.
