Good luck Sarah, you must be very anxious but this will be your time.
I've had plenty of scans during AF also, never really noticed any 'mess' and they have seen it all before for sure. Good luck with your scan Tea Lover2 angels in heaven :A0 -
I think I've been lucky so far lol. Had plenty of scans but they've never been during AF. Have had a word with myself and am now a lot calmer. At least I know it won't hurt, not like the flaming hycosy!
Sarah - very best of luck for your scan tomorrow. Am sending you all the sticky bean vibes in the world xx.0 -
Thanks Lisa and Epsil
Sarah - good luck for your scan tomorrow, can't imagine what you are feeling but think this is your time and the steroids must be working like they are for me.
tealover - quads could you imagine!! Hope scan goes well.
I will sticking around for a bit keeps tabs on how you are all doing and I am not ready to move on yet, too early days yet.
Lisa - good luck for EC hope you get a good lot of eggs that fertilise nicely. I don't know how you do it, my hat goes off to you at 9 times, I was crumbling at 5. Fingers crossed. xBEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0 -
Just popping on to say good luck with your EC Lisa.
Sarah - thinking of you for your scan, i am sure everything will be fine. But its natural to have a little wobble.
No change for me. Started Provera 2 weeks ago as AF had deserted me, within 5 days AF arrived, started Buserilin, went on holiday and AF came back. i carried on with the Buserilin and have a scan on weds morning to see when i can start the stims for my next IVF.
Just hoping all is as it should be as although this is our 3rd IVF, it is the first IVF we have funded ourselves and like a lot of people we dont have an endless supply of cash.
Anyway sending best wishes to everyone.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
Bit of a delayed response here - but congratulations JuJu! You did it (finally!) - perseverance sometimes does pay! So pleased for you.
And good luck tomorrow Sarah and Lisa - fingers crossed.

Something a bit awkward happened - BIL and SIL asked us if they can join us on holiday next month. Now much as I like them, and one day, I'd love to go on holiday with them....we said no.
As well as being to celebrate our 10 yr wedding anniversary, this holiday is supposed to be a private 'consolation prize' after my last lot of fertility treatment has ended in crushing, but predictable, failure...so it'd be a little uncomfortable to share it with them...especially since she has a 1.5 yr old and is 5 months pg.
I felt bad saying no though. Am I being unreasonable?! (I'll be hitting my not-so-happy 3 years TTC#2 anniversary next month too..(7.5 years in total...it takes its toll..)0 -
Seems perfectly reasonable to me, even if you werent going through all this you could still just want time as a family, maybe suggest having a couple of days out together instead? So they know you still love their company but family time is precious to you
Do they know what's going on? Maybe a quick word would help too just in case there's more situations were you quite understandably would want some space x x
Sarah I have fingers crossed for you, I'm sure you'll be fine
BigZ did they say you had to lose weight before clomid or lose it in general? When I saw the gynae she mentioned in passing that if I wanted fertility treatment they'd want me to lose weight, but I general discussion it seemed definite that if the metformin didn't do it's job I'd get clomid so just curiousx x

To answer your question team lowe, I had to lose weight to get clomid, and I have to be 30bmi or less to be considered for IVF if the clomid doesn't work too. They weren't quite as strict on the requirement for clomid, but I had to have shown significant loss and be getting very close to 30 before they would even have talked about it, which they did at my last appointment, and I have to continue to get closer to 30 by the next appointment in september, when she'll be prescribing the clomid if all the other tests come back clear. They told me (when I asked last year) that they were strict about the IVF requirements, and as I'm not taking anything for granted, I want to be below 30 well before my course of clomid finishes, even though there's then something like an 18 week waiting list for the Assisted Conception clinic (at my hospital). There are slightly different rules at each PCT but I'd assume the most they want you to be is 30bmi anywhere, and I know at mine they won't put the referral through for Assisted Conception unless you already meet the criteria.
When I found out about the Impaired Glucose Tolerance/pre-diabetes last year though I knew that meant I *had* to lose weight regardless of ttc, too. (Thankfully, I've just found out I've now successfully reversed that, having dropped 4st)
Hope that answers your question and isn't too waffley!"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
chickpea - I think that's all perfectly reasonable. Hope you have a lovely holiday x.
BZ - am so impressed with your weightloss, expecially considering all you've gone through lately. I'd have been eating for England!
sarah - good luck again for your scan today xx.
Had the CD4 scan yesterday but there wasn't really anything to look at. Also the scanner person looked completely horrified at how 'pc' my pcos is. That's not a good sign!! Got another scan booked for nextmonday (CD11) - what should have happened by then? Feel a bit deflated now.0 -
sarah good luck for today
chickpea I'd have said no too. A holiday should be relaxing!!
AFM.. cd 15 today, and wonder of wonders, DH might actually have been home on the right days. Not that it'll make any difference ..
We are expecting our first proper paying guests on Saturday. I'm nervous! When people show you who they are, believe them the first time0 -
Chickpea - you are totally right to have some time to yourself, its not easy this fertility stuff.
BZ - amazing weight loss, you are doing so well keep at it.
ETO - fingers crossed.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0
