Congratulations juju, fantastic news, wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy x
BZ-:wave:and :Tfor being normal, you have done so well with the weight loss and the terrible year you have had, no wonder you have down days-be kind to yourself x
AFM, we are still saving away for sperm retreival and ICSI, but poor mrh has to have minor surgery on his knee next month, hopefully he will be fine with a local anaesthetic, hmmm, a thought just popped into my head-will it be better for us/him to wait a few months after that before going for the retreival? Will a local possibly affect swimmers? Need to google that!
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the fab summer weather, haha

The male side of the family never has any effect on twins though; obviously it is up to us women how many eggs we release but in your case Identical twins are always totally random and having twins in your family, or even being a twin, doesn't change the likelyhood of it happening. That said, you could be one of the lucky few blessed with identicals! Best of luck and congratulations again - will you have early scans?
I thought this but apparently there is a slight link to the male side in terms of likelihood of identical twins. It's thought there's something in the sperm that causes the embryo to split. It's a tiny increase though and only for identical twins. Non-identical twins is all down to the mother and her likelihood of releasing more than one egg at ovulation. There's a genetic component to that too, although age plays a role too."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Juju that's awesome! Came looking for your news specifically, there is hope for us long termers yet eh? So pleased for you.
Egg collection for me tomorrow, hoping for 8 eggs to try for blasts again but may not happen as my response seems to be dwindling by the year. This is our 9th attempt so it's all old news to me now, in at 10am tomorrow, EC about 11ish, sedation only.2 angels in heaven :A0
