Hello girls. You know that BFN I reported a couple of days ago?
Erm.... it's now a BFP!!!!
I'm rather in shock. I had a ton of internet cheapies left to use so I did one this morning more by way of using them up than caring what it said. Put it down beside my bed and forgot about it. Then about an hour later I was clearing up and.... OMG! Two lines on it.
Feel a bit stupid now as have stopped the steroids, so will have to restart immediately and then get all the other meds in. Really hope I haven't !!!!!!ed up my chances. DH is rather in shock now too.

Wow Congratulations. That's fantastic news. Really pleased for you both.
This will sound rather strange, but when you posted your BFN, i had a feeling you would come back with a BFP, obviously just coincidence.
but made me smile.
Good luck with your pregnancy journey.

Fantastic Sarah.
Congratulations!0 -
bigzippy you are not horrible. :0)
Folk who haven't experienced infertility or a loss of a child haven't got a clue. They're like aliens to me...
On this (godawful...) journey we have to take care of ourselves and be as gentle and kind to ourselves as possible so do whatever you need to do to stay safe & well & positive. And for me that means avoiding all baby stuff...
Take care! Sending positive vibes xxx0 -
Sarah, congratulations!:j
Bigzippy, no you are not horrible at all :grouphug:0 -
Nope, nobody there I do genuinely like, so I don't feel like I'm missing out there. The father doesn't think the christening should be happening, really, either, so I can't get on board with the "meaning" of it either. And this couple (and anyone else there that we may know) have been the opposite of supportive to us during/since the Mil stuff, so for me that all factors in to my decision/feeling on the matter. I don't feel like I'll have missed out, just that I guess I feel some sense of obligation when I get invited to things like that :cool:I'm sure you're not horrible BZ, but I assume you are missing the opportunity to see some people who you do like & would like to catch up with.
It's difficult when you are not in a good place, but I'm sure there will be some nice parts of the day you will have missed out on (and don't feel guilty about not going to the other christening if you don't like the couple).
Personally, whilst I look at other babies & wish it was my time I can still think that it's not their baby I want, it's our baby. Also we don't necessarily know their TTC journey (as no-one other than OH & you guys knows mine).
How is DH doing on a day to day basis?
Hope you & DH find something to do today that you enjoy.
I agree about not wanting someone else's baby etc, (unless we adopt in the end, that is
) but I do get a bit bitter when I see babies come from less "together" (for want of a better word) situations, when we (and others I know) struggle so much
DH is now back at work. He went on a phased return and will be on full time hours from this week. We're having good and bad days, but keeping on keeping on

I almost said on my reply to you the other day that I hoped it was a shy bfp, but I didn't want to come off as patronising!
Congratulations!!

Thanks for the support ladies
As it is, dh slept in til I woke him at 1pm, so I think it's safe to say he needed the rest more (he's been exhausted the past few days, I think from having to keep it together at spiel almost full time, iyswim?).

Thank you ladies. Still sinking in. Having a prednisolone and clexane cocktail as we speak...
and bigzippy, of course you're not horible. We all do things to keep ourselves sane and that's just one of them.0 -
Sarah - congratulations - it's a miracle! I hope it really is it for you, congrats!

I have not been shunning you - I have been sunning me in the Med!
Back now.
Commiserations to QQ for another no go - poor you, and such a long time to wait until your next go. I feel for you, I do. I don't know how you can carry on posting congrats on the other thread - you're a bigger (wo)man than me.
Not literally, I'm still packing a few extra pounds. Hoping Jenny Craig can fix that for me...!0 -
