OK, strange question of the day.

Does anyone else feel itchy around the time of ov?

I have hayfever but am avoiding anti-histamines as I read it can hinder implantation (which seems to have logic), but I feel very itchy.

I got a positive on OPK yesterday morning. BD'd last night & this morning. Hope OH will be up for it tonight too :).

I feel hayfever itchy all the time, and am still on my antihistamines, but someone posted on the ttc thread a couple of days ago about a red light thing they bought from (I think) Superdrug to relieve their hayfever symptoms while ttc...maybe try that?

Still in a lot of pain from yesterday's hsg so dosed up on painkillers and have gone into work but it hurts to stand, walk or sit so I am struggling. Meeting a friend for a coffee in my lunch break which isnt far and should help take my mind off things for a bit. Can't wait for home time!

Morning all. Did a good bit of early morning clearblue digital mentalling this morning. Figured that as I'm now 4+1 the conception indicator should just be showing 2-3 weeks, if hte pregnancy is progessing oK. And it did, which is good news. However, I did this once before on a miscarriage and got the same result so I'm not whooping in the streets, but at least it's where it should be for the time being. Will be using the second one from the pack next Tuesday to see if it's changed from 3-4 - might be a day early but will be interesting to see...

Apologies that the source for this is the Daily Wail, but interesting bit of research about IVF here

I was supposed to have my next consultation at the hospital today - where I knew they were going to check my blood results and confirm a plan of action (if there is one!), but they called yesterday having booked me in with the wrong consultant and needed to change my appointment to the afternoon, except it clashed with a big work meeting I host. So I've moved it to 2 weeks time - which is just as well, considering Im on CD 67 or something and havent had a period, so haven't had blood tests!!

In other non related news, I've got my 3 month probationary meeting at my new job next week and I am super nervous, those of you that know me from the other thread, will know that the last job I had (through honestly, no fault of my own, just a clash in personality between the owner and I, and the fact she felt a bit threatened by my ideas etc), well let's just say it didn't end well. For the first time in my 16 year career, and I'm STILL getting over it.

I am currently in my absolute DREAM job, so praying it all goes well and trying not to get stressed about it!

Hope everyone else is having a good Wednesday - not much more to report here. I've had some creamy CM/wetness over the last couple of days, but I think it's drying up now. Also, I think that its related to the progesterone surge or something - I've read too much about it, and Im super confused by conflicting websites!!

Must just mention on here....my daughter in law had been trying to have a baby for two years but miscarried each time at between 7 and 10 weeks. Finally GP referred her to special Clinic and saw consultant - test did not show any major problem however they said if she thought she was pregnant again they could give her steroid injections and/or blood thinning injections. Within the month she was back to them and put on both - she is now 12 weeks pregnant, had scan and baby growing ...so fingers crossed! I had never heard of this treatment being given for early miscarriages but as it has seemed to work wanted to share with you in case of any help to anyone - to request via your GP. Good Luck all!

Good luck with the probation meeting 2b. Sorry to hear of the difficulties in the previous job. I'm sure if you have got to your 3 month probation you must be doing something right so try not to worry too much. :D

Thanks for the link Nicki, i had a quick look through. I am sceptical but only because i had a BFP with a fresh and a BFN with a frozen, and the worry that went with waiting to find out if it defrosted ok can't have helped.

Anyway no real or exciting news with me at the mo. Have a follow up with the consultant next week, i have a few questions for him. am hoping AF will show at the end of the week, i can then book my pre treatment scan and start my next treatment, with a view to having the transfer at the end of Aug.

Does anyone know how many embryos they will transfer in a self funded fresh cycle in a 35 yr old, also we are planning a big holiday in the next two- three weeks, will they allow me to start the down reg whilst away?

hi, we were persuaded to have 1 at ivf wales, although we could have had 2 if we had gone against their recommendations, at CRGW i had just turned 36, but they were very happy and encouraged us to have 2 put back, so it probably varies from clinic to clinic but i think if you are self funded you get the final say :)

Thanks Runnerduck i was hoping it would be my choice, and i am hoping to go for two, but i guess that will depend on how many fertilise, but staying optimistic.

    Good luck 2b :)

Glad you're clear primmer, hope the pain passes quickly & good luck for tomorrow (today?)

Fingers still crossed sarah! Let us know how you get on :)

Can't help you there ETO, sorry

Well, my blood tests showed exactly why I feel so crap: my red cell count thing is 9.something and it should be 12+. As my doc said, I've got only 75% of the oxygen etc going round my system as I should have  I'm being tested to check whether my body is doing what it's supposed to, in response to the influx of iron, as I'm not feeling any benefit yet... I'm aware it will also take a good while for me to recover physically from the Mil in hospital etc stuff, and that this anaemic won't help...:(

Doc did reiterate how impressed he was with my weight loss again though, which is very encouraging :D he said I was half the person I was, and although that's not entirely accurate, it was a boost :D now, if only I could get up without feeling lightheaded, or walk without feeling breathless... still, it stops me getting up for snacks and treats! :p

I told him about my experience trying to arrange the hsg & my doc also said radiologist depts were, in his experience, generally completely unhelpful etc, and the ones in this area seemed to be worse. He agreed that he would get the FS dept to intervene on my behalf, if he were me, too. I rang the FS secretary today and she said no problem, so hopefully I'll get an appointment through for pretty soon! Which would be good cos I miss my husband! :o I've got some pretty good looking cm going to waste too :p

    In other news...
We got news today of someone who's now newly pg, who didn't want more children, and whose relationship is rocky to the point of him leaving her & pre-existing kids twice in the last few weeks. They must have (I'm guessing) conceived between leavings, iyswim. It's rocked us (me & dh) today. I know with the anaemia etc I'm not exactly in the peak of health to be pg etc (and for that reason I don't mind as much having to abstain from ttc etc til after the hsg) but it just still feels so unfair. :( The situation really upset dh today too, so we had takeaway, drinks, and ben & jerry's icecream for tea :naughty::p
