BZ - sounds like dinner at yours last night was a little slice of heaven.

ETO - I am self funded and 34 and they encourage me to have 2 put back in but mainly due to lack of it not working and I agree with runner that it changes clinic to clinic.

2b - Hope Af arrives soon so you can have blood test.

AFM - I had a scan today, all ok, start progonova on Sunday and then steroids 10 days after, which seemed a bit late as you are suppose to take them 2 weeks before transfer and i thought transfer would be sooner, anybody know with a medicated FET. It just seems to take so bloody long all the time. Frustrating!!

I have already in my head convinced its not going to work and going to have a little hol in September to cheer us up. OH is a bit down just had his 39th birthday and feeling like we could do with a lucky break.

My work is keeping me for another 18 months which is good news but still only self employed but its better than nothing.

I'm 35 in a few weeks and I just feel like everything is slipping by. Had a lovely meal with my 4 friends last night but they all have lovely stories about their kids and I have nothing and one is just about to pop her 2nd out.

It was pretty tasty juju! :D The tub of Ben & Jerry's got finished tonight, between us and a friend that came for tea, so temptation is gone for now... Our bathroom scales stopped working last week though, so I need to pick/order/buy some new ones so we can see how we're doing again...

I'll be so relieved when I get to IVF-able weight and can stop stressing about it! I know now I can maintain ok, but I'm getting worried that losing another 3BMIs without being able to exercise is going to be trickier than the first 10 were.:o

I know that feeling about the stories your friends have that you don't. :( I long for that day...

hi all, not having a great evening here, the doctors receptionist rang this afternoon, saying the doctor had left a note asking her to ring me to make an appointment to repeat my blood tests in 2 months time, i was shocked but asked which ones and she said she thought it was the clotting ones but she couldn't discuss any more. i explained we were waiting for the results to do our ivf so could it be sooner, and she said he had specified 2 months but as she could'nt give me any more info she has booked me in for a telephone consultation with him on wednesday morning. I have been worrying that they have found something bad, as the doctor was not involved with the blood tests at all as i booked them straight with the nurse with the referal note from our private ivf doctor. wednesday seems a long way off

Hope its all OK Runner, but if it is a clotting issue normally they can sort this out with drugs, try not to worry to much its just another hurdle. Hope it moves along quickly for you. x

thanks, i suppose it could be better if they do find something in a way at least then we would have a reason why it is happening, and maybe a way to prevent it. it just threw me a bit especially when she couldn't give me any info

hope you are feeling ok with your treatment, and it all goes well this time :)

Thinking of you Runnerduck, can't be nice having a message to repeat your bloods with no other information or opportunity to speak to the Dr. Take care. Hope it turns out ok.

And thanks for the answers to my previous question. i will push for 2 embryos to be put back in.

What is the difference between a TLP and an evap?

I definitely saw a line on a cheapie HPT today, and it was one I didn't have to squint at, or hold to the light! I could even see it in a gloomy bathroom (with not overhead light on!) - but of course, it hasn't come out all that well on the picture I have taken?

Evaps tend to be a grey line rather than a pink one 2b. They are sickeningly common on those Internet cheapies, so much so that on another board I read, the girls will no longer use them. The best way to be sure if you have what looks like it might be a line, is to splash out on a digital test which is completely unambiguous, or use a completely different branded test to doublecheck the results. It is very unlikely you would get two Evaps on different tests in the same day. Cautiously optimistic for you and keeping everything crossed until you report back!
