ETO - hugs, it's a horrible feeling when in rl someone announces they are pregnant. My colleague is due in September and I have to see her lovely bump every day and I know from what she said it happened quickly. I hope you can feel more positive soon.
BZ - hugs, hope your anti biotics have worked and you are feeling better.
AFM - presentation at the clinic was really interesting, a doctor spoke about the procedure for ivf and then an embryologist spole about what happens in the lab. Left feeling both excited and daunted by it all and with loads of paperwork to read through. Both DH and and I now have to arrange for blood tests for HIV and hep b and then we can have the consultation with the doctor.0 -

We will be starting our 9th IVF cycle next month with the addition of endometrium 'scraping' on top of the immune treatments/steroids/blood thinners etc etc. Can't say we haven't tried it all eh?
We might have the scraping too next fresh go if FET doesn't work, you have to let me know how it goes and how much its costs I was told about £1500 if I go to London. Fingers crossed for you.
ETO - Its seems everyone can get pregnant just like that. My best friend is due next month and my other best friend is going to start trying for her second in September. Its hard and people just don't understand or think.
I feel like my life is slipping by and everything gets focused on the IVF. At weekends I feel lost sometimes like I should be with my own children looking after them and playing with them. My contract at work ends on the 20th June and I am not sure whether to get another job straight away if we are going to do the FET, its so hard taking time off.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0 -

Big, big congratulations SS, that's brilliant news:j.
ETO - big hugs. I swear all the pg people just congregate around me sometimes. And then start moaning about how hard it is!
We're just back to waiting atm. OH has SA on 3rd july, then we have another appt with the FS on 11th july. The hycosy went ok (apart from the parking ticket!) and the FS said he'll start us on clomid at the next appt, so long as OH's results are ok.
Am determined not to wish my life away though (easier said than done I know) so am focusing on other things for now... or trying to.0 -
It's so hard isn't it? Your life feels in limbo when you're on the IVF journey. I think it's why I was very reluctant to let many people know, not because it was something I found difficult or embarrassing to talk about, but because I didn't want to be defined by it. I didn't want to feel that that was the only thing in my life.
Even so, it still impacts everything you do - shall we book that holiday, do I look for a new job, shall we move house? The answers are always caveated by 'but what if I manage to get pregnant?' and inevitably you end up procrastinating. It feels like you're only living half a life. Thankfully we only had to really try (despite many years of NTNP) for about two years before it finally worked, I know a lot of you ladies have had far longer journeys than that.
We do it because we have to and it's the right thing to do. Even when you feel like it's taking over your life, try to remember why."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
fluffnutter - that is exactly how I'm feeling!!!
I'm confused/scared/excitied - going on Tues for IVF appoinment to fill in consent forms, learn injections ready to start this cycle ....but, still no AF. Was due Monday , had sore (.)(.), tiny bit off spotting and the feeling in my tummy of AF, but no AF. Done 2 tests, BFN...whats happening? Any ideads? My cycles are usually 25-28 day, today is CD30!!! What is happening with my body. Just want AF to turn up so I can ring the clininc for them to get my dates booked in....rant over..
Hugs to you all on this miserable, wet day xxx0 -
countrybum - maybe stress could be delaying it a bit? I know the times when I need AF on time (for appts and stuff) it always makes it late.
fluffnutter - totally hit the nail on the head there. I feel like everything's on hold indefinitely. I really need to find another job before this one relocates but if I could get pg before they move I'd be better off waiting for mat leave. It's so difficult not knowing when/if anything's going to happen.0 -
Congratulations SS!:j:j:j:j:j
Countrybum, stress may have delayed your ov, fingers crossed AF won't come this year:)
AFM, I'm wishing my days away too:o
My FET is planned for Monday, so I'm now trying to eat well, exercise, and pray that the egg will defrost fine and my hormones are fine on the day (I'm on medicated cycle, so it should be reasonably OK). Obviously a BFP would be great but I can't think that far ahead.
DH said he was talking about IVF etc to his work colleague and the colleague said 'your wife should relax, take a break from her work and it should happen'. DH thinks it's a great idea, but really, haven't we heard that one million times by now?:mad:0 -
Know what you mean qq, if one more person tells me to relax, I may just have to rip their head off!!!0
