Sounds interesting Runner and hope you get the results back soon, we had our chromosome tests done and they came back clear in 6 weeks. I have not heard of IMSI but I fear my eggs are not great along with OH sperm not great, they always say they will pick the best swimmers. Have you been tested for high NK cells?
QQ - think i will be following the same cycle shortly.
MrsH - hope the next 4 weeks whizz by.
hi, she decided not to test me for NK cells as i had the boys and because our eggs are mostly implanting, she said they wouldn't implant if i had high Nk level, and she is not testing me for the chromasomes because of having the boys, but she is testing me for a lot of differend blood clotting things ( i have to have 12 vials of blood taken) which she can then treat if it shows a problem. I did ask about the NK cells and she said she would have definately done it if i hadn't had the boys, but spent a long time explaining why it could not be that for us0 -
Good luck, sounds like you have found a good clinic:cool:
Good luck:)
Thanks, the genetic stuff is NHS, they really knew their stuff, I was very impressed.
Every appointment seems to raise more questions than I get answers though!
When we first started TTC our plan was to try for a year and if it didn't happen then we would accept that and move on without going down the assisted route-which has not been so easy to do. Poor mrh has been hauled through 3 SA's, when the first came back zero we tried to find excuses for it and had more done. Saw the FS and started discussing ICSI when they said they could do sperm retrival, now we find out that even with the CF stuff going on we can still continue. I feel as if every time I get my head round that we have reached the end of the journey another option is offered and I'm stressing about the funding/emotional stress.
If I carry the CF gene and we go ahead, do the genetic testing prior to transfer and there is a high chance of the baby having CF, do we not go ahead with the transfer? Would getting to that stage cost the same as a complete ICSI? Who are we to decide not to give an "imperfect" transfer a chance? We would love a baby regardless of any disabilities. It all seems a bit cold, clinical and a bit Hitlerish at the moment.
Apologies if my last few sentences offend anyone, or come across as insensitive. That is honestly not my intention, I have all this sh*t floating about my head this morning, mrh is very good at not thinking about things until we have to and he thinks I'm a bit bonkers at the moment!
Thanks for letting me get all that out ladies x0 -

Blimey mrshappy, sounds like you have so much going on. I can see why your brain is in overdrive at the moment. It must be so hard, knowing what is the right decision. ((Hugs)) for you at this time. xxxxxSPC 18 Target £200 /0 -

At least you are having the blood testing done, I had the same. Its probably not NK then if they are implanting. Hope you get some answers on why this keeps happening. I wish I could find some but I think we are at the end of the road now there are no more tests to be done. I think after the FET we will evaluate what the next step is.
:T Congrats Countrybum - amazing news!!!!!:TBEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0 -
MrsHappy, that's a lot of decisions you have to make.
I think usually the egg retrieval bit is the most expensive, and the transfer is cheaper. Better check though. Its probably not NK then if they are implanting.0 -
Congrats countrybum!Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0

hello everyone,
first time poster here, long time lurkerI have a few issue's that maybe someone has had experience in?
My hubby and I have been ttc for more than 3 years now
Well, I say ttc but we have just been 'leaving it to fate' 'if its meant to be it'll be' We have obviously been using no contraception and having sex a few times a week. More or less
We have 7 yo son who was conceived when I was in college and on the pill and had only been with dating for 3 months *rolls eyes*
But we've stuck together and got married last year. any who sorry! So we found it extremely easy to conceive when we didn't want to and now are having real trouble
The other thing is that I have PCOS......my periods are extremely heavy, very painful and irregular.
Well my queries are, my last period started 11th of may, so im due roughly now. Monday and tuesday this week I had a pain in my lower left stomach, in the place where you'd get a stitch, but it was more inside iykwim?
That went and since 3pm today I have had constant bad stomach cramps, exactly like when Im on. What always happens is I get spotting/light bleeding one day, next day is bad cramps and heavy bleeding. So always bleeding first, then pain. But not this time. There's no bleeding whatsoever!
Ive read that this 'may' be implantation cramping? early sign of pregnancy? but as I had pain in my side (well 6 inches left from my belly button) Im worried that it may be ectopic?
Has anyone had any experience of this? Is there a chance this could mean a pregnancy?!
We would be over the moon if so!!
Thanks for reading my gibberish!0 -
