Morning ladies,
Hope you dont mind if I join this thread, me and OH been trying for 8 months seriously, but 10 months in total. Hugs to all that need it!
I need some advice/words of reassurance please ladies...
Last month I started having bad cervical/pelvic pains on one side at ovulation and again before and during AF...at which point they got so bad I saw a doc and she referred me for tests, suspecting a ruptured cyst. A swab test for cysts came back negative, blood tests for other things like liver, kidneys, stomach etc came back negative.
I had an ultrasound this morning and they found i have pcos on one side (not the side with the pain), and the other side where i had the pain they can see an enlarged follicle, which could be nothing or could be an egg not been released etc...
Now my cbfm gave me a peak reading last saturday am and i had ewcm so i thought i ovulated on sunday. How many eggs do we release then? because the radiographer said it could be i released one and there was another "that didnt pop" which is what we are seeing.
I am worried that was my egg for the month and it wasnt released?!!
Got to wait for my results to go to the doc, then they are referring me for another ultrasound in 6 weeks (diff point in my cycle).
Im worried too that the pcos is affecting our chances of conceiving.
Any advice please? xx0 -
Welcome moneyangel, hope you don't stay in this 'club' too long.
Well, AF finally showed up properly this morning after spotting for the last 4 days!!!! This made my cycle longer than usual, 31 days. So, if other Clomid cycles are going to by anything like this, I would not be finished the 4 Clomid cycles when I have to go and see my consultant on New Years Eve.
So, since I am absolutely sure I am not pregnant (again...), I have just booked my cervical smear test. It is in less than 2 weeks (21/10) around the middle of the period, had no trouble making appointment, which is rather a surprise, as last time I had it (well, it was different practice), I had to book it 2 or 3 months in advance!!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Hi guys,
I am sorry i have not been around for a while, but have been suffering from a mild bout of bronchitis, which has aggrivated my asthma! oh well doc put me on steroids to try and hit it on the head. All ok with ttc she saysWell once i was not snuffling and coughing we have not really missed out too much on bding, so that is a good thing. Really not sure what to think this month, as temping went out the window as i had a fever of aroun 99 for a week around my ov time, lets just hope it all worked anyway as my af is due around my birthday and it would be the best present i could ever ever wish for.
Anyway i am sorry i can't help you moneyangel, i hope that the docs are able to clear it all up for you quickly and you can enjoy less pain and more fun.
Have a great weekend everyoneLeopardlady

Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
My OH has now suggested we go back to the counsellor (I've been, he's been really trying not to go cos he says "we're good") so that's a good thing to come out of these spontaneous tears anyway. We're just so busy at the moment - but I guess we'll ring up next week to see if you we can get a mutually suitable appointment. Half term is at the end of the month anyway, so I'm sure we'll be able to fit it in then if not before.
Welcome moneyangel. I'm not a PCOS sufferer myself, but I'm sure others can offer more advice. Don't worry too much if your egg for this month is gone. On to the next month and try again. (I know that seems like forever away when you are 10 months in, but it'll be along before you know it.)
To finish up - here's a link to a song I'm taking great comfort in at the moment - Nerina Pallot, Human (the song starts at about 2:25). A lesson not to define ourselves by our inability to conceive (yet).

Lovely quote jiblets
Welcome Moneyangel22. I too hope your stay is a short one. It sounds as it they are dealing with the problem, so hopefully you should get some answers. I have multi cyst ovaries caused by endometriosis. I got pregnant after 2 years (with DS) and have had mcs, so the cysts themselves shouldnt make it impossible to conceive. You may take the 'scenic' route that most of us are taking, but I am sure that you will get there. They are looking into the problem, and for some of us, getting the help we need has been a problem, so at least you are being treated by the right people at an early stage.
Keep your chin up, and keep posting as much as you need us. We do have some current successes, and have just had our first baby born by a 'graduate'
Good luck

I like the saying 'scenic route', lilo!!!! It made me smile - so now I am sitting in front of my laptop with a huge grin on my face!!! I would have probably preferred a 'much less scenic' route, but I am enjoying the company!!!!
Talking about our 'graduates'. Have we had any since FairyElephant??? She must be 17-18 weeks by now, so have not had any 'happy stories' for so long???? I must be forgetting someone? Hope she is keeping well!!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Sadly ginvzt, FE is the last one to get pregnant. We are slacking, but we are quiet, we must have put a lot of people off (either that or all the ones that got pregnant were gobby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Still, I have great vibes about the rest of us!!! Despite all the things against me, I still think I will have another one (and if I hadnt had so much wine tonite, I would be able to type properly - you dont know how much I have had to edit this post")
Lilo (off for a good night sleep and some gym if I can persuade the DH!!!!

I hope you dont mind me posting on here
Let me say hello to you all on here,
I cant remember If I've been here before but my story is that we've been Ttc for 15 months now after stopping the dreaded depo and my periods are getting quite regular nowbut still no joy,
I'm gutted as we have an iPod touch and I had an app on which told me my best days for ttc and when my next period was due but I've turned it on to check and all my details from 5 months have gone and it's set to the year 2000so what do I do now?
I can't even remember my last period dates ??0 -
Hi yummymummy, welcome to our gang.
I would just start tracking again from here. They recommend that you BD every other day during fertile periods, so if you have the energy you could do that through till your next cycle.
Temping is always an option too, though not for me - too stressful.
I use mymonthlycycles.com to track my cycles, and it's been good for me. Good luck!Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
Morning ladies,
wow it has been very quiet on here! Well i had a good weekend, some quality time with OH and working hard at recovering from the bronchitis! Well i have too many symptoms to count today which is nice, but i don't want to get too excited. I had a spot last night and went to bed paranoid that AF was very early (again!!), but so far no sign, now just very sore boobs and heartburn to keep me company today at work.
I hope you are all wellHave a wonderful day everyone
