Lap & dye number 2. Done! All clear, no sign of blockages, endometriosis, pcsos or anything else that might affect fertility. So everything looks perfect, DH's SA was 'very good'...why on earth haven't we conceived yet? In one of my first GP appointments re fertility problems, our GP jokingly asked if we were doing it right? I'm beginning to have doubts myself!! Think I'll get myself over to YouTube to see if there's any vids on there that might help!!

Haha, this made me giggle!! Perhaps we were all just not paying attention in sex ed classes at school?!fluffnutter wrote: »My OH was really keen for us to have twins. With all the expense of IVF he called it buy one, get one free!
Yep, my DH thinks the same! Not sure he's fully thought through the consequences of having twins (especially as he'll be the one who does the majority of the childcare!)Hope you get lucky now Murray now you have had a clear out.
The thought of giving birth use to terrify me but since not been able to conceive for the last 6 years the thought of it now makes me want to cry with joy.
If anybody mentions the TTC to me at the moment I just want to burst out crying, I usually hold back though. I feel so lost by it all.
Good luck everyone else, sorry I haven't been more involved but its been hard.
Aww, big hugs honey, be as involved as much or as little as you like xxxTrying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon .... :cool:0 -
AF isn't due for another 7 days and I have horrendous pmt and today have been bursting into tears over the littlest thing, I hate feeling this way! My mood isn't helped that I have been waiting a week for a letter from the hospital so I can arrange a date for my tubes to be tested and each day I come home there is no letter and the more annoyed and upset I feel.
Hugs to you too honey, hope the postman brings that letter for you soon! Hormones are bloody stupid things sometimes aren't they ...... xxTrying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon .... :cool:0 -
Not much happening here, still in limbo land. Got my granddads funeral today so feeling pretty sad, my last remaining grandparent so end of an era really!
Nothing happening on the TTC front (part from BDing obviously!) until the middle of May. Bored of waiting! xxTrying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon .... :cool:0 -
Katenut - hope the funeral goes ok today - hugs to you.0

Hope the funeral went as smoothly as these things can, Katie.
A close friend & neighbour told me yesterday what I'd suspected for a couple of weeks - she's pregnant with #2. Due (of course) around the same time I'd have been if the IUI had worked. I'm pleased for her, of course. BUT... I know I don't have to finish the sentence, you lovely lot will all know. And today she's been sharing her inability to go near the fridge without barfing.
might have to distance myself for a bit. I was suitably happy yesterday, but today I have had a little cry.
About 7/9 dpo today depending on whether you believe FF or not! Temps are unusually high but I'm not reading anything into it.
Pity party here!! Sorry ladies.. Will pull myself together before I post next time!

How old are you btw? Have you had AMH tested? I'm in same boat as you in that everything looks fine with me and DH - but then I found out I have low AMH. Which is probably why nothing ever happens..
I'm 31 now. Is AMH the egg reserve or egg quality test? I haven't had it done anyway but would like to! Is that one that you can get on the NHS?
Big thumbs up to having more money in your pocket soon - I hope you have a baby in your tummy to spend it on!
x
Juju - sorry you're feeling down. Have you had acupuncture recently? I always find that's good for a bit of a mood boost. Big virtual hugs to you x
Katenut - Sorry for your loss, I hope the funeral went as well as it can x
Primmer - have they given you any idea when they might fit you in? Is it a lap & dye or HSG? x
Onestep - I think a bit of distance won't hurt, she might get the message then that you aren't a sympathetic ear for her pregnancy moans! x0 -
I've had my AMH tested three times, seems it is pointless if you have PCOS:o I got a really high number:p
For those of us with PCOS, AFC might be a better test. I got something like 10.
None of these tests are indicative of egg quality though.0 -
I got my letter from the hospital yesterday and it is for HSG test. Annoyingly they only do the test on Tuesday mornings and so only offer 6 appointments a week and therefore state that you may have to wait about 3 months to get fitted in  still no point in worrying about that yet, af is due next week and so have to phone the hospital on cd1 and they will either fit me in for the following Tuesday or I have to call next month when back on cd1
Onestep - hugs we all understand how it feels when someone we know announces their pregnancy.0 -

Not sure about whether the NHS routinely test your AMH levels as I was already paying for treatment privately by the time mine was checked.
AMH checks your egg reserves, not quality. I'm not sure if there is a test to determine egg quality. AFAIK only an embryologist can tell once they've actually got your eggs/embryos under the microscope."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
