    Congratulations Maddie.

Agreed Winky, it can be a struggle to get everything to happen when needed. We've ordered our kit and will give it a go. We're not holding out any particular hope. I think we just wanted to feel that we were trying something else, rather than just going through the same old routine with nothing to show at the end of it.

Hi all, apparently I'm pregnant! Just waiting for it to sink in at least a little bit now!

Congratulations Maddie. Didn't you say there was a chance of triplets this time round . Now that you have had one result you want (the BFP) I hope you get the second one you want (a singleton or a multiple!)

Quick question. You know when docs recommend you wait for a 'full cycle' before trying again after a miscarriage? Does this mean you can start trying as soon as you've had your next period? Or have you got to wait for your second period to come?

hi sarah, i have always understood it to mean one natural period after the m/c that is what we have done with our FET's and the docs have said that is fine x

    Hi Sarah

This is what my doctor has on his website, and also the advice we were given when we had our last miscarriage. Hugs.

    Hi
I've not posted on here before but it's nearly 12 months since we first started trying.

My mom has just been diagnosed with celiac disease which is hereditary. And I also have also discovered that celiac is linked to infertility, so going to ask for a test if after the next try I'm still not pregnant. Apparently you can have it for years without knowing, it's often misdiagnosed as irritable bowel, etc.

Just thought it might be worth some of you looking into. Also, has anyone else got any experience with celiac??

It's a bit of a long shot as a cause for infertility for the majority of women, particularly if they have no symptoms and no family history. It would be unusual to be coeliac with no symptoms at all.

The test for coeliac disease typically involves a gut biopsy (although blood tests can be revealing) so the diagnosis can be a bit invasive. I wouldn't have thought it's something that most doctors would consider as the first cause of infertility although you're completely right in that it can be a factor.

Many of my sister-in-law's family are coeliac. They're absolutely fine provided they don't have any gluten. Luckily there are extensive ranges of gluten-free foods available now so it's not the problem it once was.

If you're struggling with infertility and you have symptoms/family history it might be worth investigating. Without symptoms a GP might be reluctant to take it further.
