Um... so hi
I've lurked for a couple of days, but this thread isn't as busy as some I've been on, so haven't got a handle on who you all are and your relevant TTC issues, so bear with me
About me: I've been TTC for around 15months, with a bit of NTNP before that. I have a few health conditions so had to come of all my medications before I could TTC, and was hoping that I'd "catch" quickly so I wouldn't have to struggle through too long/more than one winter without the medications, but it was not to be. I found out last January (I think?), after having a scan for some pains, that I have PCO. After seeing a gynae it was confirmed that I have PCOS and I was put on metformin and then had IGT confirmed. I've since lost just over 3st/8BMI points and my cycle lengths have come down bit by bit - they're now around 35days. I have a family history of endometriosis though, so still got in the back of my head that that could be a problem for me too. I've got an HSG coming up (when they deign to send me an appt ) and another scan and CD21 test, then FS appt at the end of May for all the relevant results. The only thing I know is fine is DH's SA, which came back "well within normal"
Temping didn't work for me when I tried it last year - I have sleep disorders and trouble regulating my temperature anyway. OPKs (or at least the ICs I've been getting) just frustrate me. I do have a CBFM on the way now though, so hopefully (if this cycle doesn't do it) that'll help clear up some of the mystery... We've been DTD every 2-3days on average anyway, and checking CM and, more recently, cervix position.
I'm on CD21 now, think I may've ov'd yesterday, and obviously hoping that this is the one - but also realistic that it probably isn't. If it is, and I've come on here and then got a BFP straight away, then obviously I'll be happy for me, but would be mortified to have done that to you guys
Anyway, I'll go back to lurking, and hope you guys don't mind me tagging along?
*goes to the corner and resumes lurking*

Hi Big zippy, as they say welcome, hope you are not on here long... It is frustrating waiting for the appointments, I have had to lose weight not much to go and hopefully not long before I get clomid. I had my HSG - I would take paracetomol before you go in, it can potentially be pain full! It was obviously a man who deceided what the pain felt like!!!! Well done on the weight loss tho. xxxx knew I should not of told OH is results as they were off the ricter scale, his blood is A+ he commented he was A+ in everything!!!:D0

Hi all,
Had what I thought was our review of our first IVF today, but when we got there (after 1.5 hrs travelling) we were told that there were no notes on my file from when I phoned them and told them that AF had arrived 4 days before I was due for my pregnancy test. And I should have been told to book a consultation instead of a nurses appointment. So the nice nurse we saw couldn't tell us anything. Was a bit peeved. She has phoned us later on and told me that I have to get in touch when my first natural AF arrives, that I will be on the same protocol again, but this time they may put more than 1 embryo back in if I am lucky enough to get more than 1 (unlike last time).
I have read some of you lovely ladies have had acupunture. I have never had this before, is it recommended, and at what point of an IVF cycle do you do it and is it a special type of acupunture?
Welcome Bigzippy - hope your stay is short n sweet!
C4B - Hope your ok xx0 -
