Countrybum, OH and I did more than bicker while I was on clomid - it was nearly the end of us. Do consider that any bad feeling in your relationship at the moment could be all down to the chemicals. It turned me pretty mean, then OH reacted to the constant negativity badly. I came off it again after just 2 cycles. It just wasn't worth it.
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

I haven't tried Clomid. I like menopur.. DH said I was happy when I was taking it :D actually what I think is that I was happy because we were 'doing' something, being proactive rather than waiting passively. TTC has been pretty stressful for us, especially as we do have male issues. I have to be careful not to make too big an issue of how upset I get as it makes him feel useless. Which doesn't help. For a long time I buried how I felt, & said that it didn't matter. I've stopped doing that now.

I know what you mean as us is male issues to and I agree that being proactive does help. I said after transfer the other day is that we wait so long to get to that point and then its all over in a flash. I have never had clomid but heard bad things about it and I have menopur and it makes no difference to me.

  • Thanks guys for all your wise words; it does help to think 'it's not just me'. Also, I'd not considered the 'chemical' effect of the drugs, thougt it was just me being a bit of an unreasonable beatch!!!

Hope everyone is managing ok with the 2ww.

We're on countdown to the FS on Tues, who knows what the next step will be!

I've been thinking more about the effect long-term ttc has had on our relationship. If I'm brutally honest, it's impacted negatively on our intimacy. Making love has stopped being about us two, & become a matter of timing. I hope we get it back, but it's a bad habit.

On a similarly depressing note, my hpt was negative this morning (5.5 dp trigger). I hate seeing just one line!! I've had more cramping this morning though, so it's not over yet! :) We've got our Godson's 2nd birthday party this afternoon, so there'll be babies and bumps galore there. I'm going to smile serenely, all the while visualising a couple of little bundles of cells burrowing into my lining. :D. I live in hope!!

Hugs to the 2ww'ers. And if you're gearing up to O, why are you here?! Go have some special time with your OH ;)

Hope it's not all over onestep, there is still time and too early to say.

I am 7dpt now and feel that it's all over. I am losing all my positivity. I hate the not knowing but then again I don't want to know either. I don't know if I can take another negative result .

Juju it must be our hormones making us both feel like this. Far too early to tell for either of us. I know the progesterone is having an effect on me; I've been sniping at DH all morning.
Tell you what, I'll be more positive for you if you'll be positive for me - we've come this far :) ((hugs))

Onestep & Juju - I'm staying positive for both of you, it's too early to lose hope.

I know exactly what you mean about the effect this has on your relationship, in fact on my mood in general not just with DH - I'm finding that I'm a lot less tollerant & get angry & irrational very quickly. I'm not on any medication so it's just my own hormones and extra stress all this ttc causes. I could blame the folic acid - i do sometimes wonder if someones slipped some contraceptive into mine!! I think I'm about 7dpo today so poor DH may well have PMT to contend with in a few days time.
