Wow - 25 miles!!!! Las t I remember I went hiking with uni hiking club, and we did like 17 miles, and I got problems with the hips since. Much better now, but after that trip, I couldn't move them without pain for 3 weeks (and when I say pain, I mean really bad one!)

I went to my yoga last night and it was good. Have to get a yoga mat, as the floor is quite dirty and not fun being on it bare feet. Also, it was freezing cold when we came in the studio, and then they switched on the heating instead of air con, and it was too hot. So, they switched it off. By the end of the class I was freezing again!

I have something weird today - my feet shrunk. I mean I put on the same shoes as usual, and they are falling off. I do have sometimes my feet swelling a bit in the morning (I assume it is something to do with water accumulating in the body), but never shrink so much that my shoes are falling off!!!! I must look weird walking now, as I am trying to keep them off when I lift my feet to make a step!

I've got a blood test tomorrow at ST Mary's, which I'm really not looking forward to given how much they had to dig around last time (not squeamish but I had to go outisde for air after they'd jabbed at the fourth spot with no luck...)

And I may be having the HSG (with sedation this time) on the 5th October, although only if there's a cancellation.
  • Hi ladies,

good luck with your blood test tomorrow sarah, i hope it is easier than last time :)

Well OH is back from his weekend with the boys in Krakow! he bought me a lovely pair of earrings and then was just lovely :)

My tummy is so uncomfortable, i have been having cramps for the past 3 days and nothing makes them worse or helps?? Oh well never mind.

It is a lovely evening here, but still at work, an hour after everyone has gone home!

Well i really really want that elusive bfp this month as it is my 34th birthday later in the month and also my bf is due this month and she started ttc almost a year after us. I am not bitter in any way, i love her so much and can't wait until her little one arrives, she and her husband are going to be amazing parents :)

Good luck for tomorrow Sarah. I have great difficulty with blood tests in that they have to try several times before finding a vein (and that's the phlebotomists, there's no chance if a Dr does it!), I've even had to have it taken from the back of my hand once afer sticking my hand in virtually boiling water! because I have to have them done so often now I did some research on it all and found a tip that seems to have helped me. They say to dry and drink plenty of water before having it done as if your body is dehydrated it makes it a lot more difficult. The last one I had done by a nurse who said she wasn't the best at doing them if they're tricky and said that if their phlebotomist had failed the last time she stood no chance! I drank a litre of water during the hour before the test and she did it first time! Anyway thought it might be worth a try for you. Anything to help make it a bit easier.

Since everyones talking about bloodtests I thought Id post my annoying news. Im the most terrified person ever of needles and I was a big brave girl after months of putting it off I had mine done 2 months ago and after phoning every day since then for the results the doctor came clean this afternoon and said they had been lost and I need another one done :( I am not a happy bunny!

Never mind... she gave me 2 diazapan so they wont have to fight me and hold me down this time lol It took 2 nurses and OH last time :rotfl:
  • Hi Emmzy,

Sorry to hear about your tests but as my post #634 proves - this seems a common occurrence.

When you get your results, pester your GP for copies, because the various organisations you may visit during your treatment will deny all knowledge of the results too!
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

    Ah Emzy,

Sorry to hear you have to have it done again. My local hospital did the same to me with my first set of pituitary tests. I had to go in to hospital have a load of blood tests taken then they gave me a very very painful injection can't remember of what then had to repeat the tests half an hour later! They lost the whole lot so had to go through it all again! So yes Angeladavis is right sadly it is all too common! I did used to be really bad with blood tests because of all the trouble taking them but because I've now had so many in the past 2 years I'm actually fine with them now!

I can't stand if they have to take blood from my finger - they never manage it without considerably squeezing my finger. I would much rather have the bloods taken from the vein in the arm. Oh, and I didn't appreciate the drip being put into the back of my hand - not as much as it hurt, it was so uncomfortable...

So, if they take blood from the vein in my arm - I don't mind... Just look the other way...

  • Have just had a quick look at Nickis baby piccie, he is Gorgeous!!!

Cant add to the blood test debate sadly, I have no problems with it being taken - except I cant stand needles, but learnt to tolerate them when stabbing for IVF.

Fingers crossed for your cancellation Sarah, 5th October is only next week, so hopefully a quick move forward for you.

Leopardlady, I hope your cramps ease off shortly.

I have had my blood tests done, so need to get results to clinic once they are available. My doctor has realised the depths of my depression at the moment, so I hope that doesnt shop the IVF (I certainly wont be telling the gynae!) and I definately wont take anti ds as then I wont be ttc. All I need to do is be able to lead a normal life again, then I wont be depressed. Simples. Just got to find a way to get rid of the lymphodaema.
