The Trials and Tribulations of Trying to Conceive when its just not happening (12m+)

i have tried to be really good and not read too many things on line with what could be up with us and why we are not concieving - we did once approx 3-4 years ago but sadly lost at 8 weeks however we have now been told it could just be time. we are both lucky being young in age that hopefully things work out. cookie how many goes is your hosp giving you we were told we will get 6 tries however if when checking me if i have more than one egg they may abandon cycle due to high risk of multiples. although if it is aborted they will not count that as a try. i would like to think you would get another go as it must have been successful for you to get bfp. me and the hubby were discussing last night if we got bfp but then lost it would we get another go as it would means things are going in the right direction. they also mentioned to us taking clomid to boost the egg or something increase ovulation i am worried about googling things as you get so many differetn stories dont know whcih one is right and wrong if anyone knows or recommends any goods sites i will have a nosey.
going to have to have a chat with my bosses tonight and give them the heads up on what is going on, dont know if it will be awkward or not as its two male bosses - who i do get on very well with - hope all goes well and they are supportive dont want evryone at work knowing we are ttc as you get too many questions already been able to fob folk off on the when i am starting a family with - oh newly married moved house settling down enjoying "us" time first but its hard and can only keep it going for so long. arrrggghhh rant over lol
i know jujugaboo been such a long time for us all being stuck here hope they invent some miracle cure for folk who are ttc

Hi VK - I remember you. Sorry you're still 'at it' so to speak, along with the rest of us. I wish there was a miracle too - nothing I try works either.

I hate not knowing if anything will ever happen. Patience I can manage, but not knowing is hard.

I think this is the TTC mantra, especially when you've been trying as long as the girls (& boys) on here have been.. wise words, as ever, from chickpea.

Waiting for O here.. think it's tomorrow.. and DH is of course away until Friday night *sigh*. At least we're guaranteed to get the timing right next month. I'm being grateful for small mercies

I had my acupunture last night with my new lady (I miss the old one) but good news is that AF arrived this morning, hopefully this now gives me enough time for it to thicken up again for ET. I don't normally have side effects from the buserlin but this time I have had headaches (which I don't normally get) and feel down and irritable and I have a twitchy eye but that could just be me and not the drugs.

Not sure yet I haven't been given exact dates but egg collection should be week commencing 30th Jan. Just hope I get lots of good quality eggs and lots fertilise as that's always a problem with me.

Well I had my day 8 scan today, bit disappointed as only have got 3 eggs on one side, the other side is doing nothing at all

The plus side, they are looking good, 2 are 10mm and the other is 12mm. Trying to be positive I know I only need one but it doesn't give me many chances.

Have got another scan on Sunday so see how they are doing then.

Remember it only takes 1, what dose are you on and did they change it? When are you due for EC?

When I started out on IUI I was told we will get 4 tries. I need to be referred back to the fertility clinic though from my GP now (which I find odd) but then I will find out whats next. I had clomid for the IUI's and this last time they said my right ovary was super engorged.

On a brighter note - my level was down to 14 on Weds so I have now been discharged. They said if I try a HPT now it should be a negative result. Not got any HPT's but will try on a Ov stick in the morning.

Your eggs sound a decent size sillysausage. 3 is not too bad a number either.

I'm on 450 Menaphur (3 powders to 1 liquid, 2 injections), they haven't changed my dose.

I'm due for egg collection about Tuesday by the sounds of it, will probably find out for sure on Sunday.
