Sorry for BFN Staffie. Hope you get things moving soon on the IVF front.

Might I recommend a nice bubble bath (or Lush bath bomb!) to help console yourself with. I enjoy my nice baths on such days.

I am waiting for a follow-up appointment at my clinic, after the last three failed ovulation induction cycles - I think I've been forgotten about! I'll need to chase them up.

    ++++++++

I was at a party last night - the host came up and asked me why I wasn't drinking - and yes, asked me 'have you got something to tell us?', nudge nudge, wink, wink. In front of everyone..!

I said 'I'm driving' (which was true) - but I'm sure I could have come up with something better...

Still - I had a nice plate of chicken, green leaves and a little cheese...and I'm still in ketosis and have lost 2 pounds!
  • Hugs Staffie for the BFN.

Good luck with the IUI Onestep. I didn't tell anyone. Some friends and family knew we were doing it but I said that I wanted to keep the actual dates to myself (and OH) as I didn't want all the questions and the Are You? at the end of it.

I try and cut out carbs but when I make a dinner with no carbs, OH thinks I am starving him. So if I put some rice or pasta on I can't resist some as well.

I am 7 weeks post op for Ectopic this week and I'm still bleeding. My HcG isn't down to <2 yet and I have another blood test this week. It was 69 week before last. I know someone else on here has had an EP (sorry I can't remember who). How long did you bleed for after?

That would be me :-( But my bleeding post op stopped very quickly, I was almost 9 weeks at my op however. My hcg dropped really fast and was below 1 in a week, have you been back to the docs/hopsital? There is a tiny chance that something was left behind I guess, although of course I hope this is not the case! My bleeding was less than a week at my first EP also, I had a full saplingectomy both times however?
I hope it ends really quickly for you.

Laura, it is great your are pregnant with little or no troubles however it really as a thoughtless post no matter how well meant it was.

After ttc for 10 years so far and having no tubes can you explain to me how your miracle book will help me in any way? I have forgotten more than you will ever know about ttc!

No good news from me, I have pleurisy, a dog with advanced liver disease and no results from my hysteroscopy yet.

    Bah humbug.

    Hugs all round ladies x

  • Thank you for sharing Lisa and hugs - you are having to deal with a lot. I hope you get your results soon.

I have been having weekly HcG tests at the EPU (apart from last week) and they are going down albeit slower than they would like. Yes I was told that there maybe some POC (product of conception - a lovely term!) still there but they want to monitor now rather than give the MTX injection. I had the Salpingotomy so my tube is still there - although they said it is probably not functioning and is more likely to cause another EP. I will be going back for another test this week. I need some closure. And I want to get back to TTC.

Thanks Chickpea. I went for a nice long walk in the woods with DH and my furbabies - that always cheers me up :)
Chase up that clinic, they like to forget about us at times I think !!

I have been trying to reduce my carbs but in doing so I am madly craving them now !! What a good start, not :D

I am so sorry that you are going through this CCM. Its very strange that your HcG isn't dropping faster given the amount of time thats gone. I hope this ends now for you hunny so that you can start to move on, easily said I know. Sending big hugs xx

Hugs Lisawood and being a furball lover myself I hope your dog is as comfortable as possible. My little baby is unwell at the moment (hips unfortunately).

Today is my first day back at work and do you know what.... I don't want to be here. Always loved my job but I realise now that I have spent the last 4.5 years waiting to take up maternity leave and because it hasn't happened I have been throwing myself into my work more and more and am now at a level that I simply don't like. This was the job I took to give us finanical security when we had our family. After all these years of trying and to walk back into the office today I realise I hate the place. I need a new job. :(

Crikey, my PMA has totally nosedived ! Sorry ladies !! Promise to get it back soon....

Sorry that it was a BFN Staffs, hugs to you. x Just read you post about the job, i am in the same boat, been here for 5 years hoping to get pregnant get my maternity and be out but fear this will never happen now.

CCM - Sorry you are still going through it all hope it all sorts itself out soon.

Lisa - long time no hear sorry things aren't better.

First day of down regging and how I have missed those needles!! Luckily the first was very smooth so here's to rest of them being the same. They have confused me on my Menopur its suppose to be easier but looks more complicated instead of 6 powders and 2 liquids, I have one powder of 1200iu 2 syrignes of liquid. What can't things just stay the way you know them.

Acupunture starts again on Wednesday and scan due on the 17th Jan.

  • Hi Jujugaboo, Im also on Menopur, taking 2 each night, 3 powders to 1 liquid.

I ended up with a headache on Saturday that would just not shift, luckily after a good nights sleep I woke up yesterday and it was gone, I did think it may be a side effect from the medication and thought I would be stuck with it until I stopped injecting but think it may be that I was just tired!

Got my next scan Thursday - hopefully things will be happening in there by then...

Really sorry to hear about your BFN Staffiecat x

Hi VK, I had my second round of IUI mid October last year. It resulted in a BFP but unfortunately it was discovered to be ectopic at 6 weeks.

Just thinking about the differences between my first and successful second

First IUI was 24 hours after trigger
Second was 38 hours after trigger

First I was back to work within an hour of the IUI
Second I lay down all afternoon on the side that I was ovulating. I also felt the ovulation that afternoon.

    First I stopped all exercise.
Second I didn't change anything. I was at body pump the day after (and continued to do body pump when I had my BFP)

I haven't yet had my follow up appt with FS after the ectopic. So I have no idea if there is anymore information following the successful IUI. EG - we haven't been told the SA results for either IUI yet.

I am not sure whats next for us. Would they do another IUI after ectopic? I have no idea.

Good luck though and if you have any questions I'll try to help.
