Popping in to wish everyone a Very Happy New Year and all my best wishes to you all for 2012.
After 3 years of TTC i really do hope that this is my year and hope that it is the year for all you lovely ladies too xx0 -
Thanks for the welcome!
I received a letter from my GP Saturday and have been referred for pelvic and blood tests. I hope my stay is short too. Good luck in the new year!!0 -
Hello, it has been 12 months for us now and I am starting to get disheartened. Husband has 2 children already. He had the snip about seven years ago and a reversal in August 2010. We started trying in Jan 2011 and it has not happened yet. His perm count was 19 million and mobility was 32% which according to our consultant was "normal". What is worse is loads of my friends and work colleagues and family members are expecting. I have bought some ovulation test kits so are going to try them from this month. I have also bought husband a cocktail of vitimans and supplements that are supposed to encourage sperm production. Good luck everyone. xI'm never offended by debate & opinions. Hi Bluemeanie, I hope everything works out for you. I'm in the same situation with a best friend and my sister who are both due to give birth very soon, it's hard to see and wonder why it isn't happening to you. Welcome to the board, hopefully you won't be here very long:)
I'm a bit of lurker on this board and have just had a 2nd cycle of ICSI. I was wondering if anyone can offer any advice - I was due to to a pregnancy test today after my 2ww but my husband was called away with work yesterday and won't be back until Friday. I really don't want to do the test without him as I'm very anxious about it due to this being our 2nd try. My clinic isn't open yet due to the xmas break to ask this, but can anyone advise whether it's ok to continue with the progesterone pessary gel until Friday and then test on Saturday morning? I just cant bear to be on my own if the result is negative.

A lot of clinics continue with the progesterone til 12 weeks so I can not see it being harmful whatsoever, but did your clinic not give you an out of hours number to call, they should have in case of emergencies.
Good luck, the 2ww is awful, but I have to say there is no way I could cope with waiting any longer when I could know the result now, whichever way it goes.
Of course if it is a BFN then AF may well show her ugly head before you can test which can be even more heartbreaking.
Fingers crossed for a BFP!!! x2 angels in heaven :A0 -
Happy new year everyone! CD1...! No surprises, I keep hoping to sneak in a BFP on a quiet month when there's no pressure...but it keeps not happening.

Anyway - welcome to the newbies and older posters. Good luck one and all..

sorry to hear about CD1 chickpea (hugs)
wish me luck for tomorrow - first appointment at CRGW. I'm guessing it's just going to be a history type appointment, or do I need to have a pedi and shave my legs?I'm dreading it actually, I just know they'll say something about my weight
I've put on 4lb over Christmas, which means my BMI is over 30 (just). Could have done with another week to starve myself!
When people show you who they are, believe them the first time0 -
Thank you Pinkpeach for the lovely welcome. And hello to everyone else too!
Does anyone have time to point me in the direction to a key of the acronyms used on this thread please? I get a few of them, but not all!
I am due on Thursday and I am getting the symptoms :-( I am a "fan" of the clinic where Hubby had his reversal. They have posted more pregnancies from other couples today. Really should stop looking!I'm never offended by debate & opinions. As a wise man called Voltaire once said, "I disagree with what you say, but will defend until death your right to say it."

Hi Onestep - my BMI is about the same as yours...this is the year of Atkins I have decided - 2 days in, I'm 2 pounds down and feeling good!
How was the appointment - they running any more tests?
I'm waiting for an appointment at my clinic. In the meantime, I'm taking a largish dose of my stockpiled Clomid. It's a bit naughty, but I've used it enough to know it doesn't actually do that much to me! And otherwise, I've got nothing in my arsenal until I get that appointment.
+++++
In the meantime, I went to the doctor today to tell him the happy news about what's developing on my stomach. That's right, *on* my stomach, not in it! I have a large infected cyst that is hideous and painful! Got antibiotics now anyway!
Good luck everyone - Bluemeanie, I think there's a page of acronymns at the start of either this or the regular Trying to Conceive thread.0
