That's terrible news C4B. So sorry.
Surely we all deserve a BFP soon.
I can't wait for Christmas to be out of the way. I'm finding it hard to find anything to be happy about at the moment.0 -
So sorry girls, horrible news
Runnerduck, we started looking into the clinic in Llantrisant. It seems OK, good reviews, very good first year results, they sound flexible and also offer IMSI. Unfortunately, I don't think we can even afford their reduced rates and i'm not eligible for their egg sharing scheme
We had our follow up appointment on Tuesday following our MC cycle. The consultant wasn't even aware we'd had a BFP, let alone that we'd miscarried, told us we have 1% chance of conceiving by ourselves and proceeded to try and push us into a self funded cycle for the princely sum of £5,500
We just don't have that kind of money so I guess the option for children has been taken out of our hands.
I'm afraid this really isn't going to be a very Merry Christmas for us. Instead of our 12 week scan (would have been Tuesday) we were told that's it - end of the road for us. Sad times. I just want to lock myself away.
Hope everyone else has as good a Christmas as possible.
SK xAfter 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j
And a VERY surprise miracle in March 2017!0 -
So sorry C4B, there is nothing I can say that will help but just be good to yourself and OH and take some time. Hugs. x
Epsil - I hope a speedy Christmas for you, whats next for you and your wife.?
Well done Runner for getting back in the saddle, you are good. Hope you find a clinic suitable.
Sorry sexk11 that your appointment was disappointing, I'm sad that this could be the end of the road for you.

Hi,
Just want to introduce myself,
I'm 23, OH is 26, been TTC for 3 years but not seriously (IYSWIM) just had a mammoth cyst removed from my fallopian tube, and i (sort of?) have PCOS i stopped smoking at the start of the year and i have had more periods than ever, but all my life they have never been normal (sometimes only 1 /2 a year)
I was tested for ovulation randomly, and i wasn't ovulating but im unbsre of how to track everything and what all the abbreviations mean!!!
So i just thought i would say hi, and if you don't mind me quietly lurking in a corner then that would be nice :-)
Hope everyone has a lovely xmas :-)

Hugs SK and C4B.
. I'm so sorry.
Runner, that's where we're going. I'll let you know how it is.
And welcome jellybean! Hope your stay here is short. Lurk away, but feel free to ask any questions you like, the other girls are all very knowledgable
When people show you who they are, believe them the first time0 -

We have one more NHS funded IVF cycle that we can use. The first IVF (ICSI) cycle ended with 9 eggs none fertilised, the second cycle was stopped when my wife went for the scan because the down regulation drugs weren't working and they told her she was pregnant.
We had a meeting with the consultant a couple of weeks ago and his recommendation is that we just keep trying to conceive naturally. We're both very lucky that it happened naturally anyway, I just don't understand why it took 9 years of trying to get to that point, plus one failed IVF cycle.
We lost Lucy in July at 20 weeks and have read that the first 3 months after being pregnant are a good time to conceive (not sure how true that is). Unfortunately it hasn't happened yet. Also Lucy's due date was the middle of December and with Christmas etc, my wife isn't coping that well. To make matters worse, she appears to have stopped ovulating. She has been using the 'wee wee' sticks (that's what I call them), and every month there has been a strong line; however the last couple of months, there has been no line at all.
So for us, its a case of watch this space. We asked the consultant about any other tests that can be perfomed or any other tablets that could be taken, but he just said it is better to keep trying naturally. My wife also has bad endometreosis as well which doesn't help.
We were so lucky to have had Lucy though and were able to name her etc. It's just a shame my wife was bleeding badly throughout the pregnancy and so there was always a worry that perhaps it wasn't quite meant to be.
Hopefully there will be a flurry of BFPs on the board in the new year. I think we could all do with some more good news.
Hope everyone has a restful time over Christmas.
Welcome JellyBean12!!!0 -
I hope you and your wife managed to conceive naturally again. Perhaps you need to look into why she is not ovulating at the moment, I don't know how reliable those sticks are. This must be a really hard time for you both and I feel for you. Heres to a happier 2012.
I take this time to wish everyone on here a Happy Christmas and may all our baby wishes come true in 2012. xBEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0 -
So sorry for the BFNs here. good luck for testing today C4B xx
This place is 5 minutes from where I live and we've seen a car driving in there with the numberplate SP3RM, which we thought was amazing. I've not been there myself, but a neighbour went there and thought of a lot of it. I was happy with the Heath, but she wasn't, and said she really preffered this place. It's right next door to the Royal Glamorgan Hospital if that helps you know whereabouts it is.
Merry Christmas everyone. xAm not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -

Some think it will produce better eggs for those with reduced ovarian reserve and those who are older. I'm on one now.

thanks, we have got an appointment for the 19th of jan, i like the heath its the fact that we have to wait so long, i feel i am getting older and wasting time waiting fot appointments at the heath, we can start a treatment with this one before we can even get an appointment to discuss one with the heath, and last time we had to wait 4 months then for the treatment, and i have never been known for my patients0
