Good Luck runner, C4B and Murry.

Thanks everyone, we have decided to have 1 egg transferred. 2 are being frozen. Horrible decision that I never want to have to make again.
When they rang this morning they said if we had 2 put back today, the 3rd could be cultured over weekend and if it goes to blasto, frozen from Monday. The problem there is of course, we cant guarantee it will go to blastocyst so that could be 1 egg wasted. And god forbid this cycle fails we would be left with nothing.
They said if we transferred 1, the other 2 would be frozen today. There would then be an 80% chance of them surviving. So theoretically we could have 2 chances at this. A relative has kindly offered to help us pay for the FET if it comes to that
I feel so down having to decide this, particularly as my OH backs away from any important decisions that have to be made, so I basically decided on my own. Had a good cry and know I have to get myself in a positive frame of mind for this afternoon, dont want my little embaby receiving any negative vibes!
Good luck to Runnerduck and Murray for today, see you both on the other side :T:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
Good luck cake4brains. When we did it, the norm was to put back 2, but we didn't get enough eggs to even put back 1. We were told then however that if they put back 2, there was a risk of triplets or even quads, as the embie is still at that stage where it can divide again to create an identical twin at the point they are put back. I have since read that the success rates are no higher with 1 or 2 egg transfers but the risk of multiples obviously is much greater. I don't know about you but I'd much prefer to have kids one at a time. Twins sounds great, but having seen people struggle with newborn twins, I know I personally would hate it. So fxd that your one nestles in nice and comfy, and that you are back in about 10 days time with a naughty early BFP.0

Hugs Runnerduck, got everything crossed for you. Hope the little one snuggles in nicely.
All went ok with us, like you said now its just a matter of waiting. Is it normal to have some slight cramping after transfer? I'm now laid on the settee with a cuppa, think I'll stay here for 2weeks!
Hope all went ok with you too Murray?:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
hi, glad yours went well to, yes cramping is normal i had lots the first time (bfp only miscarrage) more than i did with the second (bfn) so i'm happy to feel cramps. i'm planning plenty of sofa time too over the next 2 weeks, look after yourself xxx0
