  • Hi Countrybum...im at work so not had chance to read your history

i too had my appointment last week and was told to take clomid for 3 months and come back in 4 but my doctor start clomid then it will be IVF but my OH's SA count is 99million which is excellent but his mobility is 6% which is fine for his count...anyway this came as a shock to me too i thought if anything IUI would be first HONESTLY tho i really DONT want IVF BUT if its a chance then id take it

if i was you which im not i would try the clomid for 4 cycles then if nothing happens decide then..2 rounds on IVF is good we wont qualify i dont think cos my OH already has a teenager so i need to start saving!

looks like we're going to be clomid buddies then!!! I'm going to start the clomid next cycle (currentley on CD12ish) - have you started it yet?

Is there any reason you don't want IVF? (tell me to bog off if its none of my business)
  • Hi all,

I'm going slowly mad here. Day 4 after transfer and I'm convinced it's all over. Mild cramps, exactly like premenstrual cramps ( had those since transfer), boobs not sore like they were during treatment, absolutely no symptoms at all :(

I thought I was being realistic about this but now I see just how much my hopes were pinned on it. I could literally scream! X

juicy, keep hope, it isn't over yet, honestly believe me the symptoms after transfer mean nothing,
I had several failed attempts and on my last attempt a frozen i had exactly the same symptoms as the attempts i failed on, I even started to bleed (that was a bladder infection!) , i was meant to test 11 days after frozen transfer,
i tested on day 10 as i believed the bleed was af and it was positive, im now 20 weeks gone with a little girl, it was twins but i lost one very early on, Keep hydrated, i can't express that enough, i'm having to drink near on 3 litres of water a day on consultants advice to keep things ticking away, lots of luck and sticky vibes xx

Gin! 10 eggs, that's fantastic!!!! What did they up your menopur from and to to get such a fantastic result?

I'm going from 3 ampules last time to 4 this time. I didn't get to EC stage last time sadly because of illness (even though I was admitted, the anesthetist refused to put me under ) but at my last scan, I only had 3 follies and one of those was borderline :(

Day 13 of buserelin and boy do I know about it lol. Had tears at work on Moday and an incident i the kitchen on Saturday when tins fell out of the cupboard and it was the end of the world :o

Bloods Monday, menopur on Wednesday (lovely birthday present that is eh?) and first scan on 5th October.

Fingers crossed we all have some good results soon!

    SK x

Good luck to you! First cycle I had 3 menopur, after day 7 scan there were 3 follicles, day 9 scan - menopur increased to 4, day 12 scan, collection on what would have been day 15.

This time I had AMH test before, which showed I had a very low ovarian reserve (test result 1.49). Buserelin for 19 days, scan, all ok. started Menopur at 6 ampoules straight away, day 7 scan showed a about 8 follicles on one side, and I think 4 on the other. Day 10 scan - follicles not big enough for collection, day 13 - the biggest follicle 24, then 23.5, 20, 18 - collection on what would be day 15. 10 eggs collected.

And now the update - we have 6 embryos!!!!! Got a call from embryologist this morning, and we have embryo transfer booked for Saturday (day 3).

I am feeling ok. I had to keep going to the loo tonight, almost every hour - no wonder I lost nearly 1kg in overnight! My tummy feels sore, but nothing major I think. We went to visit a friend today who had a baby a month ago, and spend a lovely afternoon with her.

juicygirl - stop symptom spotting!!!!!! You had the HCG shot, which is the pregnancy hormone, so you were bound to have all sorts of side effects. Now it is getting out of your body, and once embryo implants, the hormones will start increasing again - but it is not going to happen overnight, it will take weeks for you to get all the usual pregnancy symptoms. Just relax, and enjoy your time. (Easier said than done, I know...)

Congratulations! How many are you getting it transferred?
Juicy, try to relax (I know it's not easy), and let the blood flow to your uterus to help it implant:o
    Sexki11en, hang in there:o

Thank you. I hope to have 2 transferred, but I guess it all will depend on how they would have done tomorrow. I and how strong will the persuasion be used by doctors and nurses to have only one.

    Hi CB,

Am going to start them today..no instructions when to take them etc and doc didnt say anything so think i am going to take them at dinner

no reason apart from the thought of going through IVF thats not meant to offend anyone but altho i dont mind needles cant imagine injecting myself and i know theres a lot more too it which i dont know but as i said if the clomid doesnt work ( which to be honest i dont think it will) then IVF will happen but it just makes me cry :(

    JG,

although i have no idea what you are going through just relax (easier said then done) and plan some stuff to do with will slightly take your mind of things so the next couple of weeks goes quicker
cinema/meals out with friends etc as just saying in will make the next few weeks drag

    Good luck everybody :j

Not much PMA today as on CD2 so there never is...sat at work feeling like i could cry!! starting clomid today 50mg altho the doc has just rang to say that i have to pick up a prescription so god knows what they are giving me now!! ive just booked a holiday for next week

if i start clomid today CD2 til CD6 when should i OV? between CD10 & CD15 or CD11 & CD16? i am going to use CBFM this month i was going start temping but now going away and just feel like nothing will help :(
  • Hi All,

I have been MIA recently but still lurking.

Its looking like a busy month this month on here and i hope we get some BFP's.

After my first IUI failed I decided I couldn't face another try straight away. And then me and OH decided to get married this December so I have been busy planning (and stressing) and TTC has taken a bit of a back seat. But now we have decided (well OH more than me) to do our next IUI in October as it will be difficult Nov/Dec and we don't want to leave it until next year. I also really didn't want to be pregnant on my wedding day - also my dress doesn't allow for any extra tummy bump but now I have come round to the idea should I be lucky enough.

I had a bit of a breakdown last Friday with OH at the prospect of doing it all again - but reading on here I realise that many of you are having to make hard decisions and go though much tougher procedures. It kind of put my little breakdown into perspective.

Good luck for those who need it right now.
