Just wanted to pop back to let you know I am now 20+5 and having a boy, I now believe the path it took to get here was meant to be it has made me appreciate it so so much more (didn't think that then though through the 7 years of tears and pain) still a way to go and had a few troubles a long the way but feel like I am a step closer each day x x

Gin, great news about the follies. That's a good number!!! Everything crossed for you here honey.

Nic - so nice to hear your doing well. I hope you're enjoying your pregnancy.

AFM, I'm away on business again tonight so lonely night in a hotel for me. Last one hopefully and work should start to calm down in the next week or so - I hope so, I really can't do too many more 12 hour days!!!

    SK x

And a VERY surprise miracle in March 2017!
  • Well, my transfer was yesterday and was a bit more difficult than expected. The nurse found it haRd to find the right position so I had scans/ pressure put on my full bladder/ a second catheter.....all's well that ends well I suppose but it was a bit more stressful than I'd hoped. I can't help but wonder if it affects our chances too.

Also my clinic let me go after about 30 mins, I wasn't kept lying flat or anything. And I was allowed up for the loo after about10-15 mins. Stuff I'm reading today says I should have waited or used a bedpan :-(. What are others experiences? Xx

    juicygirl, congratulations!

My experience with the clinic is the same - I was told I can go as soon as they finished the transfer, so I had to get off the bed in the theatre and walk back to the room, was told I can go to the loo straight after the procedure as well.

I had my last injection last night - ovitrelle, and that was the worst one! Either the needle was already damaged, or I managed to damage it by taking the syringe out of the package, but it was bent at the tip and I just couldn't inject myself! The needle just wouldn't go through the skin, and if it went even a bit in I was in agony and couldn't push it in anymore! After trying to straighten it out, etc, I managed in the end, but it was the most stressful injection. I couldn't change the needle as it was the 'all in one piece' thing... Anyway, I did it. A day off today - apart from the acupuncture this evening.

Juicy - I have about 5 mins sitting/half laying there after transfer then I get up go to loo and go home. No different really. Not sure if it makes a difference on your chances.

Nic - so pleased pregnancy is going well - hopefully we will all be there at some point, good lick and keep us posted.

Gin - nice lot follies for you, it all sounds good hopefully you get a good batch and a nice lot that fertilise. Shame about the damaged needle though, sounds painful.

Lilo I'm not sure any of us can advise you really, its always so personal. Sorry you're feeling so down, I hope you get somewhere ou're happy with soon.

Nichart, great to hear you're doing well.

Juicy, in my (successful) IVF I didn't wait very long before I got up and went home. Once it's in, I think your body will do what it will, and although being overly careful may help us to know we didn't do anything wrong, in reality I don't think these things make much difference.

Lots of activity going on here with treatments and the like. Good luck everyone!
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o
  • CD1 again for me today, been on knickerwatch for 3 days so wasnt too upset when AF turned up in the end. Was so fed up of nipping to the loo to check every 5 mins!

I dont know how you ladies deal with all the stress of ttc. Ive been on tenterhooks for weeks just waiting for my consultation this friday. My poor OH says if Im this nervous now, he darent even imagine what I'll be like going through actual treatment

Have been thinking about acupuncture but its so expensive. We have scaped every penny together for this so dont have any spare really. Maybe I should take up meditating or something, at least thats free :)

Good luck to everyone whatever stage they are at xx

I think people deal with stress in different ways. I don't tend to get too stressed about it. I can handle the consultations injections and scans its just the 2ww that kills me, I hate the not knowing and the analysing every little thing.

As there is quite alot happening on the board I am expecting some BFPs soon.

    Good luck to everyone.
