  • Gin, if i were you I would phone your GP and ask if they will give you a sick note, the reason on the note can be vague (ie minor surgery or something similar). You can self cert for 7 days but if you are off for longer you will need a note signed by a doctor, I'm sure any GP would be very understanding of your situation and this is what my boss has advised me to do. See the link below

TBH, your boss sounds like a right so and so! It might be worthwhile giving HR a call to find out what their sickness policy is, you could also ask if the company give any entitlement to time off for IVF treatment, you can do this anonymously (I did this and I swear I could hear her laughing under her breath before she said 'definately not'). I contacted INUK about this and they are going to write to the company I work for in relation to this policy.
  • Hugs gin, hope you get things sorted at work, its another hassle you don't need.

My 7 fertilised eggs survived another night and are all doing well this far. They are going to call me tomorrow with an update but I think they are hopeful for the blastocyst transfer on Monday. I am going crazy though, my boobs are killing me and I am full on in a rage. My cousin asked me how my IVF was going and I hadn't told her. So I went absolutely bersek at my Mum and sis which ended up in the biggest fight ever. Made up now but it's a shaky truce!

Oh to feel normal again, or at least to be able to blame mood swings on a proper pregnancy!

    Thinking of you all xxx

Chickpea, I was 7 days late after my first cycle of ICSI (not that AF, but the AF following it) and I'm a 26 day girl regular as anything (most i've ever been was 28 days)

Can I ask ladies, those who have had ICSI/IUI - I finished my norethisterone yesterday and have had cramps yesterday and today like quite bad AF pains. Last time I took norethisterone, it was 5 days before AF arrived so i'm sure it can't be that. I would have been due AF tomorrow if I hadn't had the drugs.... Of course we were bd'ing at the right time but after over 2 years of nothing, I refuse to get my hopes up at this stage.

Day 6 of sniffs here and the sweats are driving me insane, little mood swing 'incident' this morning but other than that coping well. Start stimms the day after my birthday all being well. on 4 ampules of menopur this time instead of 3 - high dosage for my age I guess (31) but if I works I don't care.....

    SK x
After 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j

And a VERY surprise miracle in March 2017!

Dont know - didn't do OPKs this month! I had agonising (but really) cramps c CD16 and I *thought* that was prob it - but I don't know. I also had agonising cramps (doubled over at work, pretending to have backache) about a week ago.

I've never had a cycle this long I don't think - but then again, I've never taken stim drugs like Gonal F before as I did last month, so don't know in what way they might mess things up.

Anyway - tests are resolutely -ve, so I have to accept that for the time being.

If nothing's changed by c CD42, I guess I'll go to the GP and either get a blood test, something to bring on AF or be sent on my way and told to stop wasting everyone's time (not in those words, probably)..!

Have a good Sat evening! Curry+X Factor here!

Aaahh - could be that, just the drugs, messing with my cycle. Only time will tell. I keep willing a line to eappear, but it hasn't. I keep *feeling* like AF is on its way, but zilch.

P.S.I'm on '2 years of nothing and getting my hopes up' as well - surely we can't both be wrong!!

    Good luck!

    Maybe, maybe.

:o Could you have ov'd a week ago with your agonising cramps?

My AF always arrived on time after injections/clomid etc, but I knew when I ov'd as well.

My AF usually arrives 3 days after the last norethisterone pill.
