Hi Onestep - looks my my cycle is in sync with yours - I am also CD3, and I think we were the same last cycle too.
This month, I am taking the HCG injections. I found it quite complicated - I am of a very small brain - and I worried I hadn't done it right last night, but fingers crossed. I have to go for a scan and oestradiol test on Monday.
Unfortunately, I have very little PMA - I can't think of a good reason why this is likely to work when nothing else has..0 -
Hi everyone..
Bl@@dy docs didn't do my AMH test after all  so that's another delay ! HSG is next Tuesday, & I'm bricking it. This was the reason I put off going for treatment for so long. I know I'll get through it but just the thought of it makes me queasy & faint. I've arranged for a friend to come with me to drive me home afterwards & I'm planning on being doped up.
Apart from that.. Cd 2. Any cycle buddies?!
Off to listen to my hypnosis cd (fear of internals)  !! And yes I know it's daft. I'm a grown woman, I've had s3x with more than one partner, had a child etc & yet the thought of a speculum or anything going near my cervix makes me want to vomit..
Honestly dont worry it will only make you worse - it was over in no time and it tokk longer to set up then it did to actually do the hsg
im CD 2 today so sort of in sync but my cycles are anything from 26-31 daysliloandstitch wrote: »Bless you onestep - I have had more people inside me than a number 25 bus I think, and I still hate it. I never get used to it, but sadly it is something that you have to deal with. I stare at the ceiling and try and think of other things. What I really hate is when I am on dildocam, and the doctor is chatting with my husband pointing out all the things of interest, as if I wasnt in the room! And I couldnt see anything. Miffed or what! (God Ive just re-read that - I mean on the screen!!! Anything else and I would be TOTALLY freaked!)
I second the answer any questions you like - I have seen a lot of people going through the thread, and happily quite a few have gone on to have healthy babies, for which I am always grateful. It will only be useful to people if you use it as you need it and ask all the questions that you like. We have all been at the same stage at some point. I hope the thread doesnt seem 'clicky' cos we are really only a bunch of very nice people facing a common enemy. I would really hope that anyone can ask anything they want at every stage however small they think it is - it helps us to help more people on their journey. Sadly Doctors dont seem to give much explanation as to what is going on all the time, and it is the fear and isolation that makes things worse.
Hope this helps, all - SOMEONE PUT THE KETTLE ON, IM PARCHED! (OOOOH and partial to cake! and if there was a hefty glass of wine as well...... oh yeah Im the exclude anything nice diet - no wine, caffeine, sugar, taste.... Wouldnt mind if I was losing weight XX

ive had quite a few people looking inside my bits too
and i think how old or young you are the thought of someone else looking never goes away
i dont think this thread is clicky at all just at a loss to what some of you are going through as i am just at the startHi Onestep - looks my my cycle is in sync with yours - I am also CD3, and I think we were the same last cycle too.

Im with you on the PMA front but im putting it down to AF arriving and my hormones being all over the place
i should have pma as i have 2 weekend aways planned for August
Does anyone know what happens on my follow up appointment after my HSG and scan? i rang my hospital yesterday to see if they have my results back and she couldnt give them me over the phone she just said the doc hadnt wrote any notes and i said if there was any problems would the doc call me in any sooner and the receptionist just said yes0 -
Just an update from me.
I have had 2 scans (with the dildocam) and yesterday my follicles were (R) 10mm (L) 15-16mm, 13mm and 10mm and lining is 6.9mm. I have one more scan and trigger shot tomorrow and the IUI on Thursday (maybe Friday if more follicle growth required).
I have to say the dildocam isn't half as bad as I was expecting. I bleed during smears, had a very painful and bloody HSG so i was not looking forward to the scans at all but they are ok actually - no pain or discomfort. Just gearing myself up for the IUI now but I am looking forward to it in a way. Feeling positive - for once.Deposit savings £8,000/£25,000£14,000 by 31/12/110 -

I was told during my HSG that my tubes were clear so I was lucky that I didn't have to wait for results. In the follow up appointment we talked about the results and then given all the info for IUI and how to proceed. We then had to go away with all the bumph and come back a few weeks later with photos (to prove its always us at the appointment) and had to sign a lot of forms and given the prescription for the drugs. And then wait until the beginning of the next cycle to start IUI. That was back in May for me and its only now I have been able to dstart IUI due to cycles, bank holidays and work.Deposit savings £8,000/£25,000£14,000 by 31/12/110 -
When I did my HSG, I asked how it was right away, and they told me it's clear. It wasn't painful at all.
I don't mind the dildocam as well, as the first one I had showed my baby (mc) when it was still alive, so I have fond memories of the cam:o
How are you getting on with the needles Chickpea?
Do you do it on your stomach or thigh? I found I had a lot of pg symptoms when I had the hcg:o
CCM, your follicles are looking good, do you think the 13mm might catch up too?:)0 -
CCM, looking good hope they continue to grow.
Chickpea - hope the injections aren't too bad.
CD48 for me where is that AF???BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM

Good luck CCM. I had two IUIs one successful, one not, and they are a bit undignified but not very uncomfortable. In fact no more uncomfortable than the dildocam IME. The undignified bit is where they like you to lie on your back with feet up for half an hour afterwards "and relax" :rotfl: Not everywhere does this apparently but the two different clinics I used did, and tbh I preferred it, as I felt like I was giving the guys the best chance possible.0

Congrats on the wedding Juju, how exciting!Hi Onestep - looks my my cycle is in sync with yours - I am also CD3, and I think we were the same last cycle too.
How has that happened Chickpea, we're always CB's or near CB's and I'm mid cycle! Perhaps I need to be paying more attention to my cycle lengths again, I might have taken the chilling out about it all to the extreme!
I'm also wasting my potentially fertile window on a petty falling out with (not so D) DH! :mad:i_love_holidays wrote: »i dont think this thread is clicky at all just at a loss to what some of you are going through as i am just at the start
I'm not at the stage of IUI or IVF yet so know how you feel in that I sometimes think that I dont have anything useful to contribute; but I still find it a support to know that people have been through the same as I'm going through who I can ask for help and advice as and when I need it. Also, I think about you all and wonder how you are getting on if I dont log on for a week or two and it is always nice to know that people are thinking kindly of you...unless they are scary stalker types which I assure you I'm not!!:D0 -
I hope the 13mm catches up as well QQ to give me twice as much of a chance this month. Either that or a multiple PG but I will take anything I can get. It could potentially be 19mm by Thursday (1-2mm growth per day). I only had one visibly measurable follicle last Friday and the second 2 popped up since.
Nicki - how much time did the whole procedure take? From your OH doing the sample to you walking out? Trying to figure out how to deal with work today.Deposit savings £8,000/£25,000£14,000 by 31/12/110 -
