I'm feeling more positive today about the HSG - thank you to you all for your kind words. I'm seeing it as a necessary step closer to our goal. Weight loss has stalled but it's just a plateau & as long as I keep focussed I'm sure it'll start going down again. Am wanting to have lost a stone by the next consultant appointment (Sept).
Hugs to those that want them

Here's hoping some of your babydust rubs off on us:beer:
Onestep, good luck on your HSG. Remember, relax:o and bring a pad with you. If it hurts, it only lasts for that moment, and will clear your tubes ready for that baby:)0 -

I am feeling a bit rubbish, but it is ok. CD 30, and I am sure AF is on its way. i have started very faint spotting last night, and the cramps are here this morning. Jut waiting for the 'full show' so I can call the clinic to start the ball rolling.
I am feeling achy, and tired, and need more sleep. I have told my friend yesterday about our poor AMH result and the less than 5% chance. She was very upset for me, but I have accepted this already, and I am fine with it. And then when I came home another friend called. She had a baby few months ago, and we don't talk often, so we chatted for 1h 20min. That is my record!!!!!! I have never stayed on the phone so long. But it was great to talk to her.
I am so looking forward to the weekend. Yes, there will be lots of cleaning and tidying to sort out, as my cousin is coming to stay with us for about 5 weeks, but I am looking forward to this, I have to say.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
nichart - so pleased to hear about your good scan, now that's over you can hopefully relax into it. It was about at that point I had to be given a verbal slap by my mates to start enjoying the pregnancy, and believing it. Have pm-ed you.Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o

Afternoon all. Got my appointment through finally for Care Sheffield. Not til 23rd September though. Time is going to drag! The lady I spoke to said I have to ring on CD1 to make an appt for AMH test and a follicle scan. Im assuming thats the dildocam?
Im really nervous and excited about finally getting started. Keep having butterflies:). CD28 here so should be able to ring them in the next couple days.
Hope everyone is feeling positive today. I do for the first time in absolutely ages. Its nice to feel that way for a change:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
I have been trying for a baby since Aug 2008. Then I found out I had a varicocele in Dec 2010. I gave 2 sperm samples for analysis and the doctor said they were not looking good and recommend varicocele embolization. After the varicocele embolization (May 2011), I gave another sperm sample for analysis (results shown below). Still no luck with a baby. Now the doctor recommended that I get my wife checked out, which she is in the process of doing.
Should the doctor have referred me to the fertility clinic, by the results of my last sperm sample? I am 27 and my wife is 30. We don’t drink or smoke and are fairly healthy. I take multivitamins. Can we do anything else to increase our chances?
Sperm Sample After Varicocele Embolization
Volume - 3.2 - ml
Count per ml - 15 - x10^6 /ml
Total Sperm No - 48 - x10^6 /ml per ejaculate

Opacity - N - D=Decreased, N=Normal, I=Increased
Viscosity - N - D=Decreased, N=Normal, I=Increased
Abnormal Forms - 90 - % approx0 -
Welcome Riz, you sound like you are doing all the right things. There is no point the Dr refering only you to the fertility clinic as its a joint thing. Once you wife has been checked out and she is Ok they will probably then refer you if they think there is an issue.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM

Thanks for the welcome jujugaboo. Have been a reader for a while and everyone seems nice and friendly.
Just in the process of my wife being checked out. I may be jumping the gun a bit, but if everything is ok with her, is there anything the doctors/fertility clinic would try before IVF?
I have not researched into this area yet, so my apologies if my questions sound naive.
Long journey ahead....0
