Welcome countrybum:wave:
I'd recommend wearing a skirt to the appointment in case they do the scan. With a skirt, you don't have to take them off for the exam;)0 -
QQ, I hope you dont mean you leave your knickers on! Poor gynae would get totally confused! If so, for double modesty, Im leaving my tights on too!!! But yes, I agree with you, its just a case of hitch it up, rather than a complete waist down jobbie!
Have a good weekend everyone! LiloLive on £4000 a year again for 20110 -

Hi ILoveHolidays, I just had to say I can totally understand where you are coming from. It seems as if everyone around us are mega-fertile and it just doesnt seem fair. Its a hard journey to take, I'm afraid, but if it ever does happen for us we will be better parents for it and wont take even a second for granted, I think.
I keep saying to myself, we just have to get through this month and if we have to go through it all again next month, we will cross that bridge when we come to it. Easier said that done obviously, I know that firsthand.
As for not posting, I try not to as well. Simply cos I feel like a bit of an imposter here! I know we are all going through similar things but I sometimes feel like I am 'playing adult' and its all happening to someone else if that makes sense:o. Plus I always ask questions and never have anything to offer. Then again, I suppose thats why we are all here, to help each other along.
Anyway, CD25 for me. Symptom spotting like crazy of course:cool::j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
No point being here if you aren't going to post
How will you get your questions answered if we don't know what they are!
Seriously, the thread goes through a cycle for everyone who joins. When you first join, you have lots of questions and few answers. As time goes on, either from experience or by reading others stories you begin to be able to answer questions more new posters ask. And as people move on from the thread as graduates, people who thought of themselves as newbies become the wise old heads if they also haven't moved on by then. And everyone can give moral support, and pep talks when needed
No one minds posts being "all about you". It's kind of what the thread is about, and someone else reading your post about you may be going through a similar stage and find it supportive to know they are not alone, or you may be inadvertently answering questions they have about their own situation.
Which is a long way of saying, jump in and don't be shy!0 -
Hi I love holidays:wave:
(((Hugs))) for CD1, I usually get like that for few days after AF:o
Why not try something different, like some new supplements?
If there's nothing wrong, then that's good news:cool:
I seem to have nothing wrong except my age:o So I've been doing some Traditional Chinese medicine. The thing about this is that it takes so long for anything to happen. It's been 2 months, and nothing. I had my 1st ov 2 months after IVF (last week).
So I changed doctors:p One must do something to keep busy.
I haven't met her yet, but have appt this Thursday. She's a real Chinese person (not that it matters), who studied in China, and specialises in fertility:cool:
Fingers crossed at least my cycle gets regulated:o0 -
Hi everyone..
Bl@@dy docs didn't do my AMH test after all  so that's another delay ! HSG is next Tuesday, & I'm bricking it. This was the reason I put off going for treatment for so long. I know I'll get through it but just the thought of it makes me queasy & faint. I've arranged for a friend to come with me to drive me home afterwards & I'm planning on being doped up.
Apart from that.. Cd 2. Any cycle buddies?!
Off to listen to my hypnosis cd (fear of internals)  !! And yes I know it's daft. I'm a grown woman, I've had s3x with more than one partner, had a child etc & yet the thought of a speculum or anything going near my cervix makes me want to vomit..When people show you who they are, believe them the first time0 -
Bless you onestep - I have had more people inside me than a number 25 bus I think, and I still hate it. I never get used to it, but sadly it is something that you have to deal with. I stare at the ceiling and try and think of other things. What I really hate is when I am on dildocam, and the doctor is chatting with my husband pointing out all the things of interest, as if I wasnt in the room! And I couldnt see anything. Miffed or what! (God Ive just re-read that - I mean on the screen!!! Anything else and I would be TOTALLY freaked!)
I second the answer any questions you like - I have seen a lot of people going through the thread, and happily quite a few have gone on to have healthy babies, for which I am always grateful. It will only be useful to people if you use it as you need it and ask all the questions that you like. We have all been at the same stage at some point. I hope the thread doesnt seem 'clicky' cos we are really only a bunch of very nice people facing a common enemy. I would really hope that anyone can ask anything they want at every stage however small they think it is - it helps us to help more people on their journey. Sadly Doctors dont seem to give much explanation as to what is going on all the time, and it is the fear and isolation that makes things worse.
Hope this helps, all - SOMEONE PUT THE KETTLE ON, IM PARCHED! (OOOOH and partial to cake! and if there was a hefty glass of wine as well...... oh yeah Im the exclude anything nice diet - no wine, caffeine, sugar, taste.... Wouldnt mind if I was losing weight XX
