I took it on my first 3 cycles, evil stuff!
Yes it can delay things, i'd wait until tomorrow to give them a call, but certainly call sooner if you are anxious, i'm sure people call them up with queries all the time.
Good luck

Hi Mani,Hello
i'm new to this. Husband and I have been ttc for 2 years. I have hyperprolactimia and am on cabergoline, my levels have decreased but not dramatically. I had two 21 ovulation test (one month after the other) now I was fairly confident that I was ovulating (had all symptoms and get regular bleeds) only to find out today I am not. I just don't understand it and feel so so sad.
My periods dont fall on the same day every month, but I was under the impression because I was having regular periods I was ovulating.
Anyone been in the similar situation? I just feel so sad.
Thanks for reading
I haven't been on this thread since it started so apologies for just jumping in. You say your prolactin levels haven't dropped much, can I ask what they are? I should say I'm in a similar boat but on bromocriptine. I have a clear blue fertility monitor and I have found the higher my prolactin the later I ovulate, sometimes not until day 22 or 23 of my cycle. I have just had a row with my endocrinologist as I feel my levels have been steadily getting higher and affecting my cycles. He eventually agreed I may be "unusual in that my body requires much lower levels than normal recognised to be working properly". He has now increased my dosage and I'll get it check again in 6 weeks.

Hi Becs
just noticed your post, my prolactin levels are around the 750 mark, they should be around 600. I took bromocriptine many years ago but it didn't suit me, I was vomitting every day, which is why they put me on cabergoline.
I have only just had my medication increased as my levels are dropping but not as dramatically as the docs expected them too. My consultant said I am a 'rare' case as my levels aren't dropping fast enough, I hate it when he says that as it scares me!
Is the clear blue fertility monitor any good? as I feel the 21 day ovulation test is too early for me.
Have you had the CT scans to check your pituitary glands?0 -
Hi Mani,
I would recommend the monitor for purposes of seeing your ovulation times. It has helped me tie in blood tests etc, my endo laughed at me when I said I ovulate about day 22/23 and said you ovulate on day 14! How many years of medical school for that pearl of wisdom I wonder! Anyway he said it would be interesting to see if the blood test backs up my "little gadget" and guess what it proved me right and him wrong! Sadly it hasn't helped me get pregnant though.
I have had annual MRI scans to check the tumour for the past 3 years. My levels are currently 586 and endo says anything under 700 is normal but pituitary foundation say should be under 500.

I might just get one then, as I found my 21 day ovulation blood test results depressing. My consultant wasn't there at the time and I had to see someone else, I had to ask what my ovulation results were and the answer I got was 'they are neither here or there' and then a week later I received a letter saying I wasn't ovulating!
Your endocrinologist sounds annoying!
Your levels are better than mine, atleast you are closer to the normal mark! Hopefully there will be babies for all of us soon! Fingers and everything crossed x0 -
You could get CBFM cheaper at Amazon (don't forget to get the sticks and AAA batteries). Boots is very expensive.
Also, some has found CBFM at £20 at some larger Superdrugs:money:
I use both IC OPKs and CBFM. I use OPKs at the beginning, and as soon as I see a line darkening and/or cm changing POAS on CBFM sticks as they are expensive if you have irregular long cycles.0 -
Hi all,
I have been offline line a few weeks.
I am finally starting IUI this cycle. CD 4 today and on the superovulation drugs and first scan on Friday.
Does anyone know if there is a particular time of the cycle to do reflexology and acupuncture when you are doing treatment? Want to give myself the best possible chance.
Hope you are all well - hugs to those that need them

Good luck with IUI CCM:j
As for acupuncture, I think you are supposed to have them a day before and a day after IUI to boost success rates:)0 -
There is a proper protocol for an acupunturist to follow to ensure that they dont interfere with the treatment. Hope it all goes well for you CCM
Its very quiet in here ...

Hello all. I have been 'off' for a while, I really needed a break. We had a few things in the meantime going on, and we did have an appointment with the head of the centre to find out about their 'policy change' to go for a long protocol for poor responders.
So, as part of this I had my AMH tested, and we now know the reason why I am still in this club (no bad feelings). My AMH came back as 1.49, which is extremely low. The doctor said, that they would expect the normal level to be around 20 for someone of my age. We were strongly pushed to go the donor eggs route, but we are going to go for one more cycle with my eggs (if there will be aby). I am looking to start the next cycle once AF arrives (in about a week's time).
It is not easy to realise that you may not be ably to give your husband a child of his own that he has been wanting/dreaming for so long, but we are not giving up the hope yet, and in the end, we always have an adoption route. One nice thing that OH said today was 'if it is not your child, it might as well be not mine' - we have space in our family to give home to a less fortunate child.
But - we are positive, and the next cycle is going to work!!!!!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
