    Hello

i'm new to this. Husband and I have been ttc for 2 years. I have hyperprolactimia and am on cabergoline, my levels have decreased but not dramatically. I had two 21 ovulation test (one month after the other) now I was fairly confident that I was ovulating (had all symptoms and get regular bleeds) only to find out today I am not. I just don't understand it and feel so so sad.

My periods dont fall on the same day every month, but I was under the impression because I was having regular periods I was ovulating.

Anyone been in the similar situation? I just feel so sad.

    Thanks for reading

    Hi Ladies,

Not a great result from my first scan yesterday (oh what a surprise) After 7 days of stimms, I have 3 follies in my left ovary (12mm, 12mm, 9mm) and one in my right (10mm). I'm already on 225 meopur which is a high dose for 31 years old. I've got another scan booked Monday and if nothings caught up, they'll up my dose again (by 75 I would imagine) and re scan Wednesday

I'm so disappointed. This is our one and only go and 4 follicles after 7 days is unlikely to give us the result we want. I don't want to sound greedy, and we know it's a long shot but we are praying for embys left over to freeze as we get a FET as part of our "one full cycle". We're not going to get that from 4 eggs :-(

The only one bit of good news is that my lining was 9mm - if there's ever going to be anything to put in it!

Sorry guys, just feeling really down today - and gutted that i'll have to keep on stimming for probably another 4/6 days.

    SK x

Sorry Mani, I didn't mean to talk over you then. I don't have any answers I'm afraid. I ovulate, just with rotten eggs!

I'm sure someone will be along soon to advise, everyone's great here.

Welcome to the board - hopefully we won't be seeing you here for long.

    Mani,

How do you know that you're not ovulating? Did you have some sort of test/scan?

I clicked on this thread by accident, but felt compelled to read after my (our) own battle with infertility for about 3 years.

Hello everybody, not been on here in who knows how long trying to put ttc to back of my mind this year to see if it helps but unfortunatley not. i went in to hosp yesterday for my lap and dye but it was not my usual doc who done the operation so i never got all the ins and outs of the op just a quick wee summary at the end which was my right tube is blocked and refused to take any dye and the left tube was slightly better and took a very small amount of dye. his opinion was that i will probably need to have ivf if im going to concieve, he never spoke of any options with regards to the blockages. i dont know how they are blocked whether it be cysts, endemetrioous or anything as very little was said, he did say they my ovaries were good and that i am ovulating.
i am a bit confused by it all and dont know what to do know. i feel relieved to have found a problem and know that i am not imagining problems. has anyone else had the same results or similar or know my options from here? i can see from looking at the net that there is some options to help clearing the tubes but i am guessing that this does not always work for everyone.

arrrrgggghhhhh!!!!!! feel like a wee scream the last 24 hours i have gone through so many emotions. my hubby has been great and really supportive which is good and hes been running about after me. still feeling a bit tender from my op but not too bad, expected to be in agony but i have been ok. its more bending down etc that is causing me probs.

hope everyone is well on here and getting further than me when ttc xxx

hey mani, just read your post, i have regular periods roughly between 29 and 32 days so pretty consistent, i do get the odd month where its diff but not too much, i thought i had been ovulating all the time but it appears i was not, i was only doing it sometimes, when i lost some weight and my tests were repeated it appeared i was ovulating. is your bmi in the healthy region? i know a lot of docs blame a lot of womens bmis which i do think is a bit unfair as that says to me a heavy person does not get preg as they do, i think its an easy excuse.

Well done chickpea on continued weight loss

Mani, sorry I don't have any answers for you but welcome to the board.

Sorry Sexki11en that you didn't have many follices, you sound like the same as me when I first had my first ivf. I was on the same dose and then they put me up but it still wasn't enough. I got 3 eggs and one fertilised. I am 33 and was 31 on my first go. Its taken 3 goes to realise that I need the max dose of stimm drugs. Don't be shy to ask for more drugs if they are only going to put you up a bit, it sounds like your a poor responder like me. Keep your ovaries warm with a hot water bottle as it can encourage to grow. You never know that you might have more time EC and you may have a good fertilised rate. I hope your scan on Monday reveals more follices, fingers crossed. x

VK - sorry to hear about the blocked tubes, can you have something to clear them, its worth a try. With good ovaries and ovulation there is a good chance of natural pregnancy, if you can get the tubes sorted. Keep your chin up.

    Hi

thank you all so much for being so welcoming :)

I had the blood test done at the docs which said I wasn't ovulating, the strange this is I get all the other signs, the egg white discharge (sorry too much info there) also my periods don't arrive on the same day every month so I can't understand why they just check on the 21st day.

I have in the past been underweight but am now just right, so I don't think it's my bmi. I just don't understand it.

    Thank you all for reading

It should be done at 7DPO.

My doctor doesn't seem to believe in it, and always checks via scans to see if I have a follicle growing, and if it bursts at the end:o
