hi everyone
Good luck CCM
Ginvzt I had bloods taken yesterday for AMH.. I'll get the results on Friday (together with another progesterone). And my appointment has come through for the HSG   2nd August. And I'm dreading it and feeling queasy already. I'm going to listen to my hypnosis cd a lot over the next week or so, but it's very tempting to get the Doc to give me a sedative.. I've a feeling that rescue remedy isn't going to cut it.
On the plus side the new diet is working quite well, 4lb down so far. And the 2ww doesn't seem quite so bad as usual, probably because I've been obsessing about food!!

Sorry about the AMH level Gin, I am in the same boat. But it's not the end, at least the score isn't zero. That's what I tell myself. Keep trying until you know there's no sense in it any more, that's my plan anyway!
I'm CD23, but I'm not feeling optimistic in the slightest this month!
Onestep - I'm with you on the weightloss front - it is a good distraction! My scales flickered on 11"13 this morning before settling on 12"00.2! Frustrating - but I will be so happy when it settles on 11 stone something for real (in the next few days, I am confident!). I started out weighing 14"10!!!
On the downside, losing weight is expensive - Bicester shoppping village was more than I could take last weekend! I spent a load in the Monsoon sale too - but better to get them while they're cheap..0 -
Welcome back Gin, sorry about the AMH levels. Loving the positive outlook and hope you are successful next cycle.
Well done on weight loss onestep, seems yo be going really well.
Chickpea - keep thinking positive.
I went to London yesterday (Lister Hospital) for my natural killer cells test, £570 lighter!! Hoping that my levels are high so that would explain why I am not getting an implantation.
My OH and I have decided to get married before our next cycle so we are planning a quick jet off to Las Vegas in the next few months. Looking forward to getting married, a bit of sun and a nice holiday.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM

OOOOhhh Juju, congrats, sounds brilliant.
Gin, you still beat me in the AMH stakes - Im at 0.48 or something - but I know I have damaged ovaries so I have few follicles iyswim, which is what the AMH is. If your FSH etc is okay (mine is) you should still be producing eggs quite easily, and hopefully better quality - My follicle number doesnt bear out that I am nowhere near the menopause iyswim. So I believe that I still have eggs, just not many outlets!
Anyway, what will be will be, onwards and upwards etc!
Chickpea, your weight loss is great. Mine is going the wrong way at the moment - oops.

Thanks all. My FSH is on the high side, according to consultant for my age. I think it was 9 something. I am nearly 32, so the numbers are not very good. But we will give another go, and then we will think what to do next. One step at a time.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

My FSH changes first IVF it was 11 and last time it was 6. My AMH was 15 which is a bit below for my age (34 on Sunday) but hopefully if even really low you can get some good quality eggs. We have to remember it only takes one.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM

Our consultant said that they would not take into account if your FSH went down, as your body would still work as if it was at the higher level. Mind you, the more I see him, the less I believe him.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

That is correct gin - the highest FSH level you have recorded is the accurate one. It is an indicator of how hard the body is working to maintain the status quo - it gets higher as you get older as it struggles to produce the hormones etc, and when it gets higher still you are into menopause territory, until it gives up altogether. But during ALL this time, you can still get pregnant.
Have you looked at DHEA, it is supposed to help improve the chromosomal quality of your eggs, and improves IVF results by over 25%?

No, I haven't looked at DHEA. To be honest, I am struggling to get on the short protocol with the clinic, even though I have found some research pointing that this is a better option for low AMH. I was so upset last night, I couldn't go to sleep so we wrote an email to the consultant asking him to back up his choice of the protocol with some research. We found his email on internet, so it is not 100% guaranteed that it is correct, and I doubt he will come back to us before my AF arrives (possibly Monday, but could be later in the week).Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
