Nicki - how much time did the whole procedure take? From your OH doing the sample to you walking out? Trying to figure out how to deal with work today.[/QUOTE]

It took a few hours. Depends on how efficient they are to be honest. I think it took at least an hour between doing the sample to it being ready to use as they spin it through a centrifuge for a while to weed out all the puny ones so it's just the crack squad going in :D. I seem to remember being told to come back an hour after OH doing the deed but on the second occasion having to wait for about another half an hour to an hour. The actual procedure takes about ten minutes I'd guess, including all the paperwork and checks the right guys are going in, then both times they wanted me to rest on the table for between half an hour and an hour.

I'd be tempted in your shoes to take a day off and pamper yourself afterwards to be honest, rather than stressing yourself out about being late back to work if you only book a few hours off.

Everything crossed for you. The thread is due another little flurry of BFPs!

In my clinic they take DH sample in the morning between 8:30-9:30am, and IUI at around 12-1pm. Procedure taking only 10mins or so.

I usually go back home, and put my feet on the wall for as long as I can:o (I've done 3 IUIs).

Murray - it may be my fault - my last few cycles have been abnormally short (26 days). Must be the Clomid or something. I don't mind - keeps the 2ww mercifully brief..!

I don't mind the needle - it doesn't hurt in the slightest (but I've been having months of quite vicious acupuncture!). I believe - know - I cocked up last night's injection, but I'm trying to convince myself it's fine - the nurse did say CD3 was fine to start. I knew I'd mess up - I didn't realise there was an outer and inner cap on the needle...I sort of thought the needle would shoot out through the bottom of the plastic inner cap. Idiot.

My scan and blood test is next Monday anyway CD9 so I guess we'll see what's happening then.

Lilo - kettle is on, although maybe a bit late. No cakes though - I am on a diet (slimming world) trying to lose a few more pounds (I wouldn't really call it a diet seeing how much I eat and what I eat). You can have some of my fruits though.

I am still around. AF is later than the last few months, but I was expecting that. It is CD29, and the last three cycles were 26 days long. But then CB monitor didn't show the 'best time' until CD15-16, so I would expect AF to showup at the earliest tomorrow. In the meantime, I am very tired and fed up with everything. I started shouting and crying last night because OH put the dirty plate on another counter in our already messy kitchen instead of cleaning the remains to the bin and putting the plate in the sink. I could hardly get up to go to work this morning, and was (still am) feeling slightly queasy (must the fish last night). I want holiday. Or someone to come and tidy up my house, as I am getting fed up with trying to keep on top of it all.

Our consultant replied to the letter explaining that the clinic's policy about short protocol was changed based 'on personal communication' with the other doctors. It didn't make me happy, but OH is not bothered. Oh well, I'll just go with the flow.

I went to see my pregnant friend - she has 5 weeks left to go, and I have to say I was feeling better than I thought I would. I was scared that I won't be able to cope with it, as the baby is due at the time when ours would have been if the last IVF worked. But hey - life is unpredictable.

Sorry everything is getting on top of you Gin, step back and breath. Sometimes everything does get on top of you.

Runner, chin up next IVF will come round quick.

I am still waiting for NK Cells test results and then I will know where to go from there. Need to fit in 4th IVF around getting married and getting the money together - some how! Still no AF CD49.

Hi Gin, sorry your are down. Hopefully onwards and upwards soon. I have a cuppa but it had better be peppermint - Ive had far too many caffeine coffees today and am absolutely high as a kite!

CD god knows what here - I've been dribbling for days. Nothing to write home about though - more a very long slow leak! Dont know when AF was due forgot to write it down! Never mind.
