Sorry I don't think there is anything they can do to improve the sperm. My OH has poor sperm mobility and being abnormal and we have to have ICSI. But I am not sure on your results whether they are that bad as I'm not up on all that, sorry someone else might know more on this. You doing the right thing by getting your wife checked out too. It is a long journey but we are all here to help and listenBEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM

Hi Ladies and Gent,
Just had a quick read back and Many congrats Nic!!! xx
I had my 12 week scan on Tuesday, they made me 12 +1, now i'm 12+3, sadly one of the twins didn't make it past 7 weeks, that's meant to be quite common, but i'm so thankful for the baby that i am carrying, i did find it a very bittersweet few weeks.
I'm really grateful for all the support from all on here and wish all well, i can feel a flurry of Bfp's are gonna appear on here!
Never give up hope, my personal deadline was next summer when i hit 40, we had planned to do alot of travelling if we didn't fall before then, i never in my wildest dreams actually thought a frozen embryo would actually work, i just saw it as another thing i had to do so i knew when i hit 40 i had tried everything.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Edit: Forgot to add what i wanted to say!
the clinic i used found the progesterone injections are going to be part of there normal protocol because of the flurry of ladies falling whilst using them, i'm not sure if that will help anyone xxxxxxx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
Welcome Riz, i dont really know what your results mean, but when my oh had his sa results they told us ICSI was our only option as they were very poor, but as they haven't told you this there may be other options. once your wife has been checked out they should give you your options, someone on here might be able to tell you more about yur results, dont give up hope as long as you have a few swimmers icsi can be done, good luck x
toni, sorry about you twin, but i'm glad things are going well with the baby you are carrying, hope you're right about the flurry of BFp's x
nichart so glad things are going well for you xx
cake4brains good luck with youre appointment, i too am wishing the days away until the end of september as hopefully we can start round 3 of icsi x0 -
Eeek. I used Gestone on a couple of rounds and hated it (sorry ladies!) It hurt like hell and I still had hard masses in my backside months later.
But if it helps.....
Good to hear from you Toniq, sorry that you have found yourself losing one but so pleased the other is thriving. It is common but doesn't make it any easier.
Thinking of you in this heat!

Toni, we have already Pm'd but again congrats and heres to a smooth pregnancy
AF turned up on CD50
I had my NK Cells test back yesterday and they are elevated which could be the reason for the implantation failure, though this isn't scientically approved yet I think this is why it isn't working. My consultant is discussing my next course of treatment with the Dr at the Lister Hospital who specialises in NK cells. There is talk of steroids and possible IVIg which I know is really expensive but if it gets what I want then it would be worth every penny.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM

Hi all,
Congratulations Nichart!
Sorry to hear the news Toniq that one of the twins didn't make it. We have everything crossed for the other one.
I've not posted for a while. Just to update people, my wife and I had been trying for a baby for around 8 or 9 years. We had 1 failed ICSI - 9 eggs but none fertilised. Earlier this year we were starting the second ICSI process and my wife was taking the down regulation injections. She wasn't down regulating and so went to the hospital for a scan and they told her she was pregnant. It had happened naturally and we were so pleased.
Riz, I read your post and at times my sperm sample results came back very low, one of the more recent ones were much better. I just took multivitamins (ensuring they had zinc in them). Sorry I'm not sure what else to suggest. I noticed that there are some things available on the web that are supposed to help; however please always ensure you check with your GP / consultant before taking anything.
My wife had been bleeding heavily throughout the pregnancy and a couple of weeks ago she lost a lot of blood. It seemed the placenta came away slightly. However the follow up scans came back fine and we were told that we were having a little girl.
In the last couple of weeks we decided to call her Lucy. The name just seemed to be right for her. It seemed that everything was falling into place and our dreams were coming true.
Unfortunately on Tuesday (26th July) we tragically lost our baby at 19.5 weeks. As you can imagine we're both absolutely devastated. After everything we have been through, we just thought that it was perhaps our time. It just seems like everything has just been snatched away from us.
Even though we're in so much pain at the moment, we are trying to count our blessings that we had her at all. We never thought we would be so lucky, it's just such a shame she couldn't stay for longer. We just keep thinking why us, what have we done to deserve this.
My wife also had to have an emergency operation on Tuesday because of some problems that occured and so I could have lost her too. They said the operation went well and everything is fine.
I still can't believe it has happened; however I just wanted to update people and to give people hope that it is possible for that miracle to happen.0 -
Sorry for my rudeness -congratulations to nichart and toniq!!!!!
I am officially having another IVF cycle. AF showed up yesterday 11-ish, so called the clinic and was given the drugs appointment for the 12th, starting injections on the 19th. Hopefully all will go well and we will get more than 1 egg....
What day do you usually start the dr injections? I was told to start on CD23, but then my cycles are showing the 'shorter' trend with the previous 3 being only 26 days. Does this make any difference to down regulation?Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Ep, I am so sorry to hear your news... It is hard, and I guess you will be questioning yourselves why did it happen, but it did. I am glad your wife is ok, and best of luck for both of you...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
