Good luck today Onestep - hope it is quick and painless.0 -
Hi everyone. Had my AMH test and follicle scan this morning. Only 4 follicles on my left ovary and 3 on the right (which was hiding so was quite uncomfortable trying to find it). She said this is on the high side of low, which doesnt exactly make me feel wonderful. She also said they cant really give a full picture without the results of the Amh so now its yet more waiting.
I dont really 'get' all this ttc malarkey yet so I apologise if this is a really stupid question, but I take it the number of follicles vary from month to month? And is there anything I can do to help increase them?
Also wrote down all my other results but its total gobbledegook to me:
FSH 9.1 iu/l
LH 3.7 iu/l
TSH 1.41 m/u/l
PROGESTERONE 114 um si/l (I do know this number was just after Clomid)
Anyone understand all this?
TIA and good luck to all who need it xx:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -

can't help with all of it, but your FSH measures egg quality.
http://fertilityplus.org/faq/hormonelevels.html#female
Progesterone is a measure of whether you ovulated, and from that number it looks like the clomid worked
and you did ovulate.
HSG is done :T:T no fainting and no pain!! :j I don't know whether the hypnosis cd worked or not, but I'm so relieved! The radiologist showed me the pics, and said it looks perfect. Which is obviously great news but ...! Thanks for the kind words everyone.
CCM I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

Hugs to Epsilon, Toniq and Jiblets and all that need them.
Decided to stop temping, opks dates etc and relax (who am I kidding, eh!!!) Been to hospital today, got loads of blood forms for day4, 21 and 28 bloods, rubella antibodies (and something else). Also have to go for an x-ray once dye has been injected into my tubes :eek:eek!! DH also has to do another SA. We then go back in 4 months for all the results and an ultrasound of my ovaries. Oh, also has some swabs taken today to check for infections before the x-ray jobbie.....and breathe!!!
I feel like things are moving on so feel a bit more relaxed (even though I don't want to wait 4 whole months to get results!!!)
I'm pretty certain I've got a short leutal phase so am thinking of trying angus castus (sp?) to see if that helps.
Do any of you ladies have experience of this?
xx

C4B - sorry, no idea on the results but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.
Onestep - hurrah for pain free hsg! Glad it went well, at least that's another thing ticked off the list.
As for me, AF showing signs of putting in an appearance so just waiting for her to put me out of my misery...well out of the misery of waiting for confirmation & then it's onto the misery of yet another cycle. It makes me want to scream it's so unfair and frustrating! I'm going to give my cbfm another go next month because the last few cycles have been a bit irregular. At least I'll feel a bit more in control that way.0 -
Sorry to hear about peoples losses it really is heartbreaking.
I have posted in here in past while ttc but been away for a while. Lost a baby at 6 weeks in July of last year after ttc for many years. Had another miracle Bfp few months later. Was having twins, sadly lost 1st baby at 9 weeks before xmas after had a large bleed and scan showed only 1 baby. Other baby was fine and had scan few weeks later and all well. Had scan at 16 weeks and no heartbeat. Baby had died about week before. PM results showed that baby had downs. After tests consultant believes that was just "unlucky" as early loss before 6 weeks common, loss of 1 twin also very common and my boy having Downs again just one of those things.
In meantime was on waiting list for Icsi and now at top of list. I am going in few weeks to discuss protocol so will be starting very soon. Just wondered if anyone could give me any advise. Was thinking about accupuncture and wondered if anyone felt benefical also if anyone going through treatment has taken vitamin supplements as well as conception vits.

Hi hamish.
So sorry to hear about your 'misfortunes'. I am just about to start my second IVF. Well, the huge box of medications arrived yesterday, and I am due to start my injections on August 19th.
I am taking normal pregnancy vitamins, and have started omega 3 this month as well. I had acupuncture since January, and it helps me - I am not sure how much medically, but mentally definitely. Even if it is just talking with someone what you are going through, and spending some time on the table in quiet, not rushing around, etc. It calms me down a bit.
I am not taking anything extra, just keeping as usual. I have joined Slimming World a couple of months ago, and whilst I am 'dieting', I am still eating loads, and more fruits and vegetables than I used to. It is not really a diet as such... And I am not good at following rules (<says throwing the Kitkat wrapper into the bin under the desk>).
Best of luck for you!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
