Hamish, sorry to hear about everything you have gone through and I agree with Gin.

I have had 3 ICSI attempts now and don't do anything that different apart from eat more protein and try and eat everything organic, take the vitamins (Zita eWest ones) etc. I also have acupunture and find it helps, mentally like Gin says. Try to remain calm and positive is very good too but I know thats hard to do.

    Good luck Gin with injections!

Sorry you've had such a difficult time of it Hamish - I hope you get there soon.

Beyond the placebo effect, I don't know how much any of the alternative stuff works (I've tried the lot) I think it just acts the same way antibiotics might work on a cold - i.e. make you feel you are doing something useful while nature takes its course anyway (if you're lucky). I've given up for the time being anyway!

Onestep - I'm taking Gonal-F injections this month and getting scans every other day - when the follicles are optimum, I'll get a trigger shot to force OV (prob. on Friday).

So I had another scan this am - my ovaries are loving the injections.

6 lovely looking follicles - I'm so proud! My left ovary only has 3 antral follicles on it though - I think my left ovary is why my AMH count is on the 'poor' (3.1 pmol) side- it is much smaller, which is an indicator of low fertility in its own right.

But the right one looks good at the mo - although if it's too good, they'll cancel the cycle - the fertility nurse says she'll go ahead if there are two 17mm follicles and one 15mm follicle, but not if there are 3 x 17mm follicles.

She also described my endometrium as 'beautiful' which is by far the nicest thing anyone has ever said about my endometrium. Brought a lump to my throat anyway.

We go back to see them again on Friday.

Good luck cycle buddy this cycle - good luck everyone for that matter!

Chickpea - I've got everything crossed that you have 2x 17mm, that the cycle goes ahead and that your beautiful endometrium (:D) provides a lovely soft inviting bed for them!!

Not sure how lucky we'll be this month, we're camping at the big chill, so not sure how much bd'ing we'll get to do. Fingers crossed though!

Good luck to everyone waiting for O.. And to those in the 2ww.

    Hello

feeling sad today, found out two of my husbands cousins are pregnant, both due at the end of the year. I am happy for them, but feel so sad for myself/us.

I know I shouldn't feel like this and wish them both a happy and healthy pregnancy but I just wish it was my turn.

Hubby has just popped out so it's my chance to have a little cry as I've held it together for best part of the day.

A woman at work who is 6 months into her pregnancy was whinging about her ankles and feeling fat, I just looked at her and thought I would so give anything to be in her place.

Sorry you are feeling so low Mani, it is really hard - I think weve all felt like that at some time or another. There is no magic trick to ignoring it Im afraid, you just learn to live with it. Try and talk with hubby if you can, he may well feel the same - and if you dont tell him how you feel, he wont know

Big hugs from me to you XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Lilo

    Hi everyone,

I posted towardsthe end of last year when i had just found out I wasn't ovulating due to 'polycystic type' ovaries. Since then, and following 6 rounds of Clomid, we have found out my hubby has v low motility and are on the NHS wait for ICSI - 2+ years in my area.

We are lucky enough to have enough savings to do a round privately and are signing consent forms this Tuesday with Prostap injection on 23rd Aug.

I guess I am posting again just for someone to talk to really. Do you ever feel like no one else 'gets it'? I have just turned 30 and everyone around me seems to be getting pregnant so easily. I know no one who has any experience of what this all feels like, no one who has had IVF. I have been fairly open about my situation with friends/family/work collegeaues and whilst I have had a lot of support from some I have been stunned at the insensitivity of others.

Sorry for the pity party, just feel so alone at the moment :-(

Mani, I think you could be my twin! My hubby isalso out tonight and another friend has just texted to say she is pregnant and I'm having a little weep :(

A girl in my work is also pregnant s and has constantly moaned about how sick she feels (whilst guzzling Coke, oreos and other cr**). I have felt on numerous occasions like telling her how I would take 9 months of sickness if it meant I could be in her position! She also leaves her pregnancy book lying in the staffroom ( yet to see her pick it up!) despite knowing about my situation. I just want to chuck it out the window!

    Hugs to you xx
