    Had some sh*tty news today. My brother and SIL went for their 20 week scan and there's no heartbeat. My mother came over to tell me in floods of tears. I feel all sorts of things. I feel like it should have been us. We were prepared for this sort of possibility all along, but now we have Branwen and they are left devastated. I dont know why, after talking on here and elsewhere online for so many years with other IFers, that I still have nothing to say that can help them. Most of all I feel sad and very, very cross. These things just aren't fair.
    Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

    thats awful, i don't think there is anything anyone can say when something like that happens, mine happened at the 7 week scan and that was heartbreaking, but at 20 weeks i can't think of anything worse, i'm so sorry jiblets x

    Sorry about your awful news Epsilon_A and Jiblets. Life is pretty cruel sometimes.

    Lisa - it's high stakes time then. It must be your turn, I do hope so.

    +++++++

    I went to get a scan today (CD9). I have some very promising looking follicles (1X11mm, 2x10mm and some smaller ones). I have to go back in a couple of days. It was nice to see them.

    So sorry to hear all the sad news. All my love and best wishes to epsilon and jibs brother and sil. XXXX

    AF turned up on Sunday, a proper one, so 28 days pretty much. I do think the supplements are working, I certainly feel better.

    jiblets, so sorry for them... Our friend lost her baby at about 20 weeks, and it is devastating. There is nothing much you can say, even when some of the club have gone through lots of hard things, and some similar ones. Just be there for them. All I can say is, if they want to talk - listen. If they want to be silent, let them be...

    I am still being told wonder stories how someone friend was going for IVF and got the BFP the month they were going to start - it used to give me hope initially, then just annoy, and now I just don't pay attention. My mum still is coming up with some 'wife tales' that will help you to conceive. Last one - drink ionised water. My husband (chemist) just laughed (well, me too...). She can't understand how can it be that my egg reserves are so low. i guess those who don't get any troubles getting pregnant, don't always realise the 'nature' of the fertility.
