Did anyone see that news item today about hte baby born to a woman who had 13 failed IVF cycles? They were screening the eggs using a new technique. While it doesn't apply to my situation I was quite heartened by it (actually thinking about it it might apply to me if they find we hve chromosomal problems and we need IVF and screening)

If you scroll back one page, there was a link to the article. I still can't believe 13 IVF attempts!!! If my bank didn't brake in that time, my mind would have...

Then I'm the opposite to most of you! I am putting off using the Boots Smooth Skin hair removal system and gave up caffeine, junk food and fizzy drinks yonks ago! At my age, I just feel better safe than sorry and the more I can do to keep myself in good condition, the better for any bean that decides to join me, fingers crossed!

The only one I have caved on is the no alcohol rule - I don't drink much, but do occasionally have a small glass of wine, but that is my only vice really! Well, I am only human... :rotfl:

I am not sure i feel tha comfortable on the other thread anymore, the amazing amount of ss has got to me recently, so i think i will stick around here from now on, i hope none of you mind?

This month we are trying another month of relaxing and having fun, and i must say that we have been having fun, so that is good. Work is very busy, so it is keeping my mind of it all for a while every day, which has to be a good thing.

Right well back to work, will pop back later :)

I am also still behaving myself in this way! I have to say, I am now used to the caffeine free tea I drink and have weaned myself off diet coke to such an extent that I had some the other day and couldn't drink it!

I am still drinking the odd glass or two now and again though.....typed quietly in the hope no one will notice :o

Good to hear from you LeopardLady

I never liked fizzy drinks much, but will have occasional glass of pepsi or coke probably once or twice a month. For caffeine I have a cup of cappucino/late at home first thing in the morning, and then camomile tea. Sometimes, if I am hungry or fed up at work I might have a cup of black tea with lots of milk... And I don't like alcohol - honestly, I don't like it...

I am 9DPO today, and I have a really bad lower back pain today, and a strange funny feeling in lower abdomen (hard to describe, as if some butterflies got stuck around my ovaries or something!). I think I am going to give up my work for the day and do something, like ironing.... I'm working from home today and tomorrow, so I guess, I will be catching up tomorrow...

I tend to drink one cup of coffee or tea in the morning before work and then only drink sugar free squash all day. Then may have a glass of wine in the evening, although this tends to be more at weekends. Not really given anything up, as did for a while, then both OH and i got too stressed about the whole thing, so have now gone for letting myself relax until i get that elusive bfp and then will be more careful.

It is really quiet in the office today, which is great as the last week has been ridiculously manic, so it is nice but strange to sit here and have time to read this site and play around on fb! my farm is going really really well :) (how sad am i?)

Right more printing to do, soo much fun to be had here!

  • Welcome leapardlady, pull up a chair, have a (caffeine free) tea and a (calorie free - I wish) cake!!!!

Erm, Im a baaaaad ttcer. I drink at least one cup of caffeine coffee a day, and endless de-caf (although this is organic to avoid the chemical decaf process) but no other caffeine, and I looooove alcohol. I dont drink it that often, and I am well within the recommended (I have about 3 or 4 a week) I dont have any artificial sweeteners or painkillers except paras. Oh well, maybe not so bad after all - definately not a Kerry Katona anyway.

I try and have most things in moderation, except calories. So much for the weight loss, I went from 156lb to 162 lb overnight!!!! (my legs swelled up) and I was so depressed I had a chinese, and now cant be bothered. Oops. Still I see the lady tomorrow so maybe she will help.

My cycle has officially gone wrong again - after a 6 week wait last month, AF obviously felt guilty for worrying me, and gave me another after only a fortnight. Lovely. And I used to be a textbook 28 days. Wont get pregnant on that! Oh well, back to the maze of doctors etc I suppose to see what can be done!!!

Have a good day everyone Lilo
