ginvzt - I say go for it, hell, maybe sod's law will work in your favour! You find a new hobby you enjoy then you get pg, you just pick it up after the bean arrives. If you don't get pg, you get to enjoy your new hobby and have longer to get better before you get pg.
I've just taken up snowboarding - also not especially suitable for ladies in the family way - but I really wanted to do it and putting it off just made me put more pressure on myself ttc-wise. It was doing my head in so much! So I decided that I'll do what I want, just live my life, and if and when I get 2 lines on my POAS then I'll re-assess the suitability of my hobbies :)
Never argue with an idiot, he just brings you down to his level and beats you with experience.
  • Go for it ginvzt. As bitzer maloney says, you can stop when you get pregnant. Enjoy it!!!

  • Go for it Ginvzt, I for one am sick of putting my life on hold for the illusive BFP.

Yip. New lesson of the moment is to stop putting things off. OH and I are in the process of booking a posh holiday abroad for next summer. Come on ladies, what are you going to stop putting off today?
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

We had that one this summer in Seychelles with the money from the baby fund - but we booked only 1 month in advance (we don't believe in organising holidays year in advance!)

  • These last few posts have really made me smile! I have been feeling itchy, saying exactly that...last night we blew nearly all our savings on a luxuary safari! We go in November, so only 2 months to wait.

I have put my life and work on hold for so long. I want to have some fun, and a safari would have been off the cards for a good few years if I had got my bfp from the IVF.

We did do the money saving option though! The Travel Collection is owned by Kuoni and you get exactly the same luxuary holidays, but pay hundreds less!

As for the IVF fund we have just raided. We have possibly 2 tries with the frosties, and a fresh cycle before we would have to pay, so we have time to pay it back.

May be I should engage "Sods Law" and take up paragliding!

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before
  • As DH and I have decided not to pursue IVF again, we have just ordered a new convertible car! 0% of course!

I thought (hoped) it would be "sod's law" for our delayed honeymoon in New Zealand (24 days!!!!), unfortunately, 20 months later and another big holiday under belt, it still didn't happen!!!! Third time lucky???? Maybe we should go for another one, I have 15 days of holidays to use by the end of the year!!!!

Well everyone who has got pregnant after struggling have usually always said the same thing, it happened when they stopped thinking about it, or given up.
Very hard to do, i always try to pretend i am giving up just so it happens:confused:
Ah well....main thing is having fun trying;)
