I was feeling pretty down last night and had a little cry to myself. I must be due on or something. Soon be starting next ICSI cycle and the stress and worry about whether its going to work has started already. Trying to be really positive this time but not sure how many more set backs I can take.
I just watched this about IVF and it gave me a little more hope for the future. Lets hope they bring this new technique in as soon as possible.

just had Reiki this afternoon. a bit strange but i nearly fell asleep on the table, and now i'm buzzing! don't know if any of these treatments actually help but i thought it was worth a try.0 -
I don't remember any spotting after the HSG actually - had bought pads specially and then nothing. I'd call them if you're worried. Sure it's fine though.0

Spotting has stopped now thank goodness. Just brown discharge and EWCM - sorry TMI.

Hello everyone, another day another dollar and all that but woohoo to the weekend
Does anyone have any exciting plans for valentines day ? OH has decided that he doesn't want to play into the hands of the commercialism that is valentines day (his words), in other words he is being a scrooge! I on the otherhand am really feeling it this year and I have no idea what I am going to do for him but I'm looking forward to it :grinheart!!

QQ how are you doing?0 -
once in 60 months equates to a success likelihood of 1-2% each month.
I'm going to ask him to look into adoption. I want to accommodate one more child, we have room, love, scope, the lot..0 -

He prefers to remain childless forever.
Since I never had a baby, if we were to adopt, I think someone 3 years+ may be better for us. Don't have a clue what to do with a baby:o0 -
Temp dropped under the coverline for 2 days in a row, time for AF again methinks...:o
Sorry to hear that QQ, may not need it but sending you dodgy hugs :grouphug:once in 60 months equates to a success likelihood of 1-2% each month.

DH and I agreed very early in our relationship that if we couldn't have our own children we would adopt - admittedly at the time of saying this I thought I was fertile so it was more about communicating how we would react rather than actually believing or thinking it would be a necessity
The longer that we go down this road the more I believe that adoption is our path and I think that by 2013 I will be ready to take that more seriously. Although there is still always hope, my aunt adopted 2 children because she was 'infertile' and then years later she naturally conceived, twice !0 -

Hi staffiecat , I did exactly that last night - well - sent OH out for some fresh ones. One day - when I have time - I will make some of my own... one of these days....:)
We are going away tomorrow for early Valentines. A night away and it coincides with oving (I think, I can never tell with my cycles anymore). But I think as soon as I get to the hotel I will zonk out. OH has his eye on watching the rugby tomorrow afternoon - uh don't think so mister!!! Will be very romantic - me napping and OH in the pub watching sport...Deposit savings £8,000/£25,000£14,000 by 31/12/110 -
I think we would adopt too, but I'm desperate for a baby rather than an older child. I just have a horror of taking on a child who's been abused or otherwise neglected (as most of the ones who are up for adoption round me have been), and the years of hard work it would take to undo that. Makes me sound very selfish but I think it'simportant to know your own capacity. Also, with a child already in the house I have think about how it would impact him.
The other thought is surrogacy. I already know someone who wants to be a surrogate (she's young, had three kids and loves the idea of it). She also would only be a surrogate if she was carrying someone else's egg - doesn't want to use her own, which fits well with us as we would want our own eggs/sperm to be used. It seems like a more sensible option in many ways (apart from the cost) because I have so many problems along the pregnancy road, and am quite high risk, but as far as we know there's no problem with our sperm or eggs. So far we've just talked about it hypothetically but another few months of not falling pregnant and I think it may have to be a more firm discussion.0
