    I'm at 9DPO.
  • Remember ladies that all good things come to those who .... wait....

The 2ww will be over before you know it, in the meantime what are you doing to occupy your minds?

    My top three are

    1) Walking my dogs - they are so energetic that I have no time to think about ttc during a walk!
    2) Playing games on my phone - love tetris or chess (how old am I)
    3) Spring cleaning - hate it but it works - the house always shines when I am in the 2ww !!

Staffie, mine will be working , playing on the wii, playing on the iphone and trying to write a piece for the mag which is due weds and which I haven't started yet!
  • I forgot about work, your right it does work to take minds off 2ww but i'd rather do the other 3 things :rotfl:

Good luck with the writing, I have to do some writing for work (nothing exciting) and my mind is blank !

    Hi ladies.
A few people on the 2ww now, good luck to you all, I know it is damn impossible not to think about it, but try anyway! Lol.
Had a 2nd scan at my clinic today, day 9 of stims. Got 8 on the left and 5 on the right, all around 14mm along with a few little ones. Next scan on Wednesday and probably Egg collection on Friday. Then it is the torture, will they or won't they get to blastocyst, when will they go back in and OMG the 2WW (well 1ww if we get to blast)
    Have a great day everyone.

  • Good Afternoon ladies,

I was wondering if I could join you. I have been reading this thread for many months now but not yet posted. My TTC journey so far...

started in Sept 09 - nothing - not even a hint of a BFP so I went to my GP in Oct 10, had 21 day tests and other bloods and a smear which came back fine. My OH had a SA and this came back as quote" slightly low" - but a count of 17 million and normal motility so not too bad - I think.... We were reffered to the local fertility clinic in December and tomorrow I have an HSG. My OH has to redo his SA as well but it seems to have slipped down his list of priorities. I think he feels resigned to the fact that he has an issue even though a retest could show improved results - judging by the dreaded google searches I am constantly doing. Bad Google!!! In my MSE ways I even made chocolate covered brazil nuts as snacks to increase selenium intake LOL.

Very nervous about the test tomorrow. I have read that it can be painful (or not in many women). And hopefully after I do my test, my OH can go and do his test.

By the way I am 33 and my OH is 34.

I won, I won, I won! I've been Money Tipped!
hi, and welcome chocolate cookie monster good luck with your test tomorrow, i can't help you with what to expect with that test as i didn't have it as the problem for us is sperm, but i'm sure someone will be able to help you, as for oh's diet mine is a fussy eater so i tried sneaking all sorts of veg into his meals to help his swimmers but doctors said icsi was the only option, hope it made him healthier anyway, the chocolate coated brazil nuts are a great idea!

Lisa, good luck for you egg collection, hope you get plenty of mature ones and they fertilize well

    Hi Jiblets:wave:
How far along are you now? Do you know if it's a boy or a girl?:)
You haven't updated your blog for a while now...

Ha ha, no I haven't! It was an infertility blog, and I find it hard to swap to talking about pregnancy I think. I think I'll be forever an infertile, and as much as it seemed natural to tell the world about my infertility, it doesn't seem natural to tell the world about my pregnancy. I chat to people who ask about it, but only my closest friends and family have me blathering on about how besotted I am with my belly. Too much pregnancy stuff makes me uncomfortable, and lots of people don't get that, but it really does make me squirm if we're in a group of people and several start on bump/mums talk. Some things never change...

I'm 30 weeks now, and we're all doing very well thanks. Baby is a measuring a little big, and is lovely and healthy, Hubby is looking after me brilliantly and I'm finishing work in 3 weeks! It's all very exciting...:T
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

17 million is not so bad. I've Googled too, and the cut-off for IUI in some hospitals (probably not even UK) is 15 million:)

We did unsuccessful IUI at 13 million. It improved to 28 million in 3 months after cutting down on alcohol, and taking multi-vits, Vit E etc and also abstaining for a week. It can improve, so good luck with the brazil nuts:cool:

As for HSG, I had one last year, I didn't feel anything, but it seems to depend on person to person. Good luck, and don't forget to take a pad with you:)

No you are not! Anyone seeing you walking down the street will think otherwise, and you are fertile, you are pg:j
