Hi ladies.
Good to see you all here (well not great but you know what I mean)
I've just started stim injections here for our 7th round of IVF so really hoping hard, but being realistic also.
It doesn't get any easier for us, been ttc for almost ten yeas all together.
Best of luck to everyone still here

hi all, had egg collection yesterday they got 6 good eggs now just waiting for the phonecall to see how many have fertilised,
lisawood you have my sympathy going through 7 rounds of this, i just hope its 7th time lucky for you0 -
Lots of getting down to serious business at the minute - I hope God or nature is smiling on everyone this month..
Lisa - I'll have everything crossed, it must be so hard.
Runnerduck - 6 eggs sounds great. Well done ovaries!

I'm on CD27 (28-30) and I'm going slowly mad. I only OV'd somewhere between CD20-22, so if it's good news, it will all be later. I don't know whether I feel optimistic or not. Probably not. My boobs hurt intermittantly - but they do that every month, so that means nothing. I just have to hope AF stays away.
I have tested, even though it's too early, -ve, obviously.
Stay sane everyone!0 -
Lisawood - good luck with it all. I hope you get the result you want!
Runnerduck - best of luck today! I know how nervous I was when I got the phonecall.
I had my follow-up appointment yesterday. And to be fair, it was no good - most of the questions we had were just brushed off with oh, we will do different next time. So, more stimulation drugs, short protocol. (Even that I had to pull out of her!). We were trying to question why we had only one egg from all the follicles, and the answer was just 'it happens'. Well, you saw that I wasn't responding well during the scans, you could have increased drugs on day 7! When I asked about cyst, she replied that we consider draining cysts if they are more than 5cm - well, mine was 3cm, and you insisted to have it drained!!! I was so upset after I saw her at the baseline scan and the way she talked to me, that it really didn't help me with the rest of the day. And she was the same way this time - arrogant and looking from 'high up' at you. When asked if there is anything we can do to help our chances, she just blurted out that I could lose more weight. Only when I asked her about supplements did she suggested to have zinc and Vit C for OH, and make sure I am on follic acid. To be honest, I think I can find more answers (and actual ones, not just a brush under the carpet) online than we got from her. And our appointment was 1 hour late - we were just sitting there alone in the waiting room, as everyone else was called for they appointment, they even switched the TV off. Never mind, will be better next time.
Oh, and I have job offer - I am seriously considering it.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Good luck Lisa with your 7th time, you are amazing to do it 7 times. Fingers crossed for you.
Well done Runner on 6 eggs lets hope you get some good fertiilised ones to put back. Good luck
Sorry your appointment one useless Gin I understand how upset you must feel. I pretty much had the same response from my Drs. Can you move clinic next time?BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0 -
We haven't considered moving clinic. We have one more go on NHS, and we can call anytime after April, on CD1. I think I will ask OH to come to the baseline scan at least, so I wouldn't feel so helpless. Not sure if he will, but I will ask. I will also be prepared this time that they may want to drain the cyst. Asked about the removal of it, and she said there is no need for that. Well - and the stress I have to through when she decides to drain it that day and it is back the next week, is there a need for it?...
Sorry - rant is over. I won't be doing next cycle till at least May. and depending if I take up the job offer, it may wait for the summer.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

i'm sorry your appointment wasn't good, can you ask to see a different doctor? the first one we saw was not nice and i ended up crying and oh had to take over, but luckily we have had nice ones since.0 -
hi, can i just ask has anyone else suffered a lot of pain after egg collection, yesterday was fine, i even chatted to them all through the job and came home and got food and done packed lunches, but this morning i feel as though my insides are on fire and been ripped out, i was supposed to be working this afternoon but have had to cancel as just going out to feed the animals has left me pacing around in pain, i dont know if you can take stronger painkillers as paracetamol are not really doing anything0
