Hello everyone, it has been a quiet weekend on here. You must all be in your fertile window! ;)

Murray - big cyst. I had a 2cm one removed, 7 cm is v. big. On the plus-side, maybe getting shot of the thing will improve the situation and at least it's just the one op. Are you still my near cb? I'm on CD16, awaiting an egg. Patiently.

I thought it was pretty big too but then I heard about a friend of a friend who had one removed that was the size of a football! Obviously she knew that was there though. I am slightly concerned that one got to 7cm in my body without me knowing it was there.

I'm CD18 today, so a day behind you. Hope your ovaries sent you a big strong egg that's super attractive to swimmers!

No chance for me this month, we've had a month off TTC because I want to get rid of this cyst first. There isn't room for a baby, a cyst and a bladder down there!
  • Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well. Sorry I am not very good at keeping up to date on the forum at the moment. Cant get into a routine and there always seems to br something else to do stopping me getting on the net.

Fingers crossed the op goes smoothly and quickly Murray and that it will lead to a BFP!!!

Well I have finally booked an app with the Dr. Dont know what was stopping me (denial I think) but i cant take it any longer!!!

Currently CD3 and everyone around me seems to be giving birth! App booked for Feb 11th (CD21) which also happens to be the day after my 29th birthday.

Any advice about what I can take, should be expecting??

Thanks very much for reading and hopefully will get back on soon.

    Hello GTS -

Sometimes just booking that first app is all it takes to relax you, I hope that's the case for you.

Generally, the GP will prob just ask the basic, obvious stuff like how long have you been trying (and they won't act usually when it's less than 12 months - which isn't you, since you're on here!) and are you having regular sex at the right times. S/he might ask about length of cycle, last period, if you have any pain or mid-cycle bleeding etc.

Then you'll prob. get some referral slips to get Day 1-5 and Day 21 blood tests done prob at your local hospital to check egg reserve and that you've definitely OV'd.

GP may wait for those results before your OH will need to undergo tests. Is OH willing?

Part of the reason it took me 3 and a half years with #1 was because of my husband prevaricating for over a year! Don't let it happen to you!

Got it in one! No idea when I OV this month - ran out of OPKs (I know!) and am just guessing it's round about now. I'm CD19, one step ahead of you!, and I had some very unusual - foamy - EWCM today. Like beaten egg white. Oh, that's making me hungry.

Of course, DH is away on business..! Still, we have put in a lot of effort over the last week, so there's hope.

Sorry you're having to have a month off - but try to enjoy not thinking about it for once!

If I was you I would have 2 put back in. I always said I would have 2 back in but I have been unlucky and only had one put back in the last 2 times as thats all I had. If you have 2 put back in only one might take anyway and it will increase your chances and especially if you might not be able to afford another go. They don't like more than 1 due to high risk of problems but its up to you.

Spoke to my Dr yesterday and they are going to put me on the maximum stim drugs for 12 days next time and hopefully I would have a better response. Typical when your paying they give you the maximum. Just waiting for Febs AF now and then I can start the whole long process again. Third time lucky!.

Send hugs and good vibes to everyone else. :)

    Hi Rubberduck -

If it was me, I'd push for 2. I think 1 is better if you are young and have the option of more goes, but 2 to me screams a better chance.

    Good luck persuading the docs.
