congratulations, that is brilliant news. Hopefully all the planning will take your mind off ttc and your little stalk will make its way to you (as it did for my friend) !

GIN so sorry that your feeling down, you have been through a lot and even though you feel like OH isn't listening perhaps he too is processing everything in his head. I think you should have a conversation about going on holiday and then go for it - be adventurous :D Having said that I also prefer to cuddle my animals than my hubby but thats just because they don't answer back ;)

Chickpea sending you fertile vibes hun ;)

Sarah could luck for when you test :)

Runnerduck not sure if the ivf injections are similar to the FSH injections but if they are then I felt very emotional, I could cry at anything on those !

Oh dear. Feeling embarrassed and sorry for myself. AF arrived very unexpectedly this morning, just as I was about to test! Three days early. Not good, as luteal phase was only 9 days this month.

I was so sure I was pregnant! I have been pregnant four times so I know how it makes me feel. Normally the two week wait passes unnoticed as I never feel any different, but this month... sigh. GLum glum glum. Sorry not to populate the board with PMA.

Explains the uncontrollable cake urge last night though!

Oh - was just about to reply to Peach's post but it's disappeared. IN answer anyway, I would imagine that you would be found out at some point, just because of the communications - appt letters etc would have to go to your old address. And if you did get found out they would probably try to make you pay back teh cost or something.

I sympathise with your dilemma though. I would be sorely tempted too.

Thanks for the sympathy guys. I am feeling really rubbish.
  • Not sure what happend to my post- thanks for the reply though Sarah.

I just called the clinic to find out about this as thought it best to be honest and actually received some good news. They have just told me that as long as I stay with the same GP surgery then there is nothing to worry about, as the 'ivf postcode lottery' is actually based upon the location of your GP and has nothing to do with where the couple concerned live. Phew!

    Hi all,

I had my lap & dye yesterday, all went well - they found some endometriosis but no other problems. I'm really happy with this as although endo is a bad, I already knew I had all the symptoms so being able to explain them is a good thing. They lasered away what they found so perhaps that will be enough to make the difference?

Juju - that is lovely news, congratulations! We used to celebrate our anniversaries before getting married, and didn't want a separate wedding anniversary to make us 'loose' that date - so got married on our 10 anniversary. Might you go for your 6th? :D

Gin - sorry u are feeling depressed, it's not at all surprising with that you've been through and the stress you've been facing. I completely understand u wanting to hug the cat more - there are no complications there, just love. Plus cats are soft and warm and perfect for cuddles! Try to remember though that at the moment you are probably just focusing on all your partners bad bits and forgetting all the good. Yes he sounds crap from what you've said but I'm sure he's lovey in lots of ways too or you wouldn't be with him in the first place. A break does sound like a good idea and I hope it does the trick for you x

Sarah - sorry AF tricked u this month - it feels rubbish even when you're used to it happening now and again so must feel so much worse when it's a one off and she has u completely fooled :(

Maddie, I know what you mean about knowing for sure that there is some issue. I was telling my friend about our 'treatment' and she asked if we know why we can't conceive. It is so weird when you say that all is fine and doctors don't know what is wrong with you - you do have the feeling that if they just found what is wrong, all would be solved miraculously.

Thanks all. I went to a seminar yesterday and met up with a couple of friends, and when I hear problems one of them has, mine are tiny. He husband is very jealous and controlling type, and now he is also seriuosly ill (the guy is 27 years old!) - doctors not sure what it is as yet, but the short list is TBC, lung cancer or sarcoidosis. Scary. All happened in last month or so, so it was rather unexpected for them as well. And just to think that GP in UK sent him home with swollen legs and a pack of paracetamol to treat it. He went back home for Christmas and as he was not too well, saw a doctor - spent new year there in hospital! The doctors back home could not believe that GP here tried to treat him with paracetamol!!!

Anyway, I hope he will get better soon and the doctors will find out what they can do.

I have been trying to get myself to work today from home all day, but with no success. I have just sent an email to my boss saying that I need the rest of the day off and as I couldn't do my job this morning, I will take the day as holiday. At least I will not have that guilty feeling that I haven't done as much as I was hoping/expected/supposed to do by the end of the day. That is, if my boss will take this the right way.

Anyway, however much I love my cat, I have locked him outside today for a bit (like now). He is so clingy, I can't do anything without him on my lap - and that has to be on the sofa. So, I sent him for a walk - besides, fresh eair is good for you, isn't it? It is not raining here, quite a nice day with the blue sky, so he should enjoy it too!!! Extra cuddles tonight. Promise.

Maddie, gald the lap went well and you have had a bit of a clear out (IYSWIM). Might mention getting married on the our 6th anniversary sounds good and as we are probably going to run off to Vegas and do it, sounds like a plan, unless a little bundle comes along which I hope so.

Gin, i wish I could get my cat to be more cuddly he only wants me at 6am for food and to sit next to me on the sofa in the evening but he is not very affectionate but I love him all the same. Hearing other peoples problems does help at times but obviously notr good for them. It is rubbish why some people can't conceive and they have no reasons why, it must be frustrating.
