    obv drinking is not recommended for us lot ttc but got work night out on 22th would it be better staying away from demon drink or blitzing it and seeing what happens? im not a drinker so it wouldnt be too much of a bother
    mind you =, you know what nights out are like - oh if your not drinking, u must be pg, and then that opens the can of worms to everyone and dont really want to get into that on a night out.
    advice appreciated.

    I've given up on the alcohol avoidance - I avoided it for a while but it didn't do me any good and felt that I was putting my life on hold & missing out! I don't go mad and I don't drink at home but, for my own sanity, I will have a few drinks if I'm out.

    If you don't want to drink you could always use the 'we couldn't get a taxi and I drew the short straw' excuse - that one's worked for me.

    Hello again GTS! Welcome to the thread, I hope your stay here is a short one :)

    Hello & good luck Plymouthargylebird too :wave:

  • Hi Murray - sorry you struck out this month as well.I reckon we both will get a BFP, but maybe it'll wait until you're not paying attention..Problem is, it's hard not to obsess..

    +++++++++

    VK2008 - my BIL and his wife are due a baby in mid-Jan. I'll have to get through Christmas day somehow staring at her huge bump. It'll be fine once baby arrives, I have no probs with babies, just bumps. The biggest prob is the fact I know she's v. fertile because they got pg in month 1 (on honeymoon..) and there's a good chance she'll conceive no2 before we do. Prob by autumn, I guess.

    I'm calling today CD1, because it's the first day of 'full flow' as the specialist said. That means Clomid tomorrow. I have decided to bring forward January's detox, so have gone on the wagon, completely. I even made it to the swimming pool yesterday, that was nice. I had a little sauna too, and kind of felt more in touch with myself.

    Clean, and serene!

    I've managed to turn my mood around - feeling cheerful again. I'm going to try to focus on clean living, to try to stop obsessing.

    I have decided that it has to be a private emotional crisis - let's be honest, no-one really wants to know. I'm just going to have to try to fake it better.

    And learn to repeat, parrot fashion: 'Are you? That's great, congratulations. When is it due?'

    And sound sincere..!

    I shall get first practice in on Tuesday, when I'm out for the night with three pg ladies. Hooray! I shall not drink. (Day 3 of On The Wagon.)

    +++++++++++

    I have just ordered some Conceive Plus (again) and some Coconut Water to help with the detox. And some lovely satiny underwear, to help things along. (M&S portfolio, does big sizes, £20 for a bra and get a free pair of pants! The pants alone are £9.50 so that counts as a good deal to me! I ordered some in midnight blue and some in gold..dh seems keen anyway - just a shame auntie Flo is in town.

    Good luck this week everyone. Where is the next elusive BFP to come from...?
  • Not me ladies, AF has arrived so counting tomorrow as day 1. Just got to try and get a blood test now, and make sure that they do the right one - they rang me last time and told me I wasnt ovulating - now Im not a doctor, but I wouldnt expect to have at day 3!!! Doc was a little embarrassed.

    Still, that leaves me having a 'good time' at around Christmas Day, so shall make the most of the relaxed time of year!

    Evening all :) room for one more? we've been ttc for 2 years now with a go of clomid and one of temaxofin last year but sadly a BFN both times. Will be trying more medical routes hopefully later next year.
  • Sorry to ladies who got AF.

    Regarding the Lap and Dye, I had one over the summer and took a week off work. I felt quite sore and beaten up afterwards, the pain in my shoulders from the gas was agony and then I felt sore and stiff in my tummy for a few days. Mine was a very simple procedure, they just looked around and did the dye test. I think they say a couple of days to two weeks because it could just be a look and all is fine like mine or they could find endo and remove that which can be uncomfortable and take a little longer to recover from.
