I had a dinner party last night - very nice too. Although I was gutted - I left the Camembert out all day to go gooey, but the house was so cold it stayed hard!
How very civilised and on a week night, I'm impressed!
My optimism has gone out the window ...definite signs that AF is afoot. I know its not over just yet but still  (I think I'm at the mourning stage with a few lapses into anger!)

Welcome to the board must try harder!
Chickpea and anybody else who needs some PMA - I have signed up for Comsic Ordering (google it). I have put my request in to be pregnant by the end of March 2011 which should coincide with my next ICSI treatment. I don't know that much about it but apparently its worked for Noel Edmonds!! Lets hope it works for all of us, fingers crossed.
AF is a bit late this month but it normally is as its the first one after failed treatment. I am so stupid though as I still hope that a little mircale could happen. I have got a dinner Saturday night with my 4 best friends which I am kinda looking forward to but as one has just annouced she is pregnant I don't know if I will be able to keep my emotions under control, I seem to be crying at everything at the moment.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0 -
Welcome iambanana and must_try_harder!
I've got 2 bits of exciting news today, one, my pregnant friend who we visited recently gas had her baby, for a very cute picture message this morning! I feel really happy for her rather than jealous which is good!
Also had a call from a work colleague yesterday asking if I could cover for them on a job which would have involved staying away from home for 3 weeks in Jan. I didn't really want to do it (at all), rang hospital to see when my lap and dye was likely to be to see if it would clash. they've given me a provisional date of the 18th of Jan, so not only can I not do the away job, but also I can finally feel as though things are moving! woo hoo!Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
Yayy Maddie :j Great news.
I got my date through too. 14th Feb!!! Lol. I don't mind at all, like you, I feel like things are moving now.
I had a telpephone interview this morning for a new job which I think went well, we'll be moving house in the new year as my boss needs to sell (we rent from my boss:eek:) and I booked driving lessons yesterday to start in the new year so it's all go for me at the moment!
Welcome iambanana and must_try_harder - hope your stay here is short.
Gin - how you doing over there? Resting up I hope?

Good luck to ladies waiting for a lap and dye, I had one over the summer and it was quite sore but I recovered reasonably quickly and apparently it can give things a good clear out and make you more fertile.
This is our first month of TTC post failed ICSI so it all felt a bit strange as we hadn't done that for 2 months as in that time I was having AF or down regging or waiting for EC/ET and really not in the mood or not able to. It felt like it had been forever! I'm sure we'll get back into the swing of things though.
We were hoping to abstain for 3 days prior to peak to see if that helped DH build up some good swimmers, not so long they go bad but not too soon for them to have built up. We were told 3-5 days before SA and before the ICSI so that sounds about right. We're just relaxing at the moment though and are going to get a CBFM after Christmas.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member #398 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

Yay! Lots going on for you too then SK! Good luck with the new job, when will you find out?
For those you've had a lap and dye, how long am i likely to need off? The range of a few days to 2 weeks seems quite broad!Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
Hello all - hope there's some PMA in your lives today. I'm not feeling too optimistic this month, but I don't think I'll be too devastated if it doesn't happen.
I think infertility is a lot like grieving, and in every grief cycle, there are four stages - denial, anger, mourning and acceptance. Well, I think I've got to acceptance..! Testing on Sunday. It'll be hard to resist testing earlier, but then again, do I want to see a BFN sooner than I have to, if a BFN it is to be? I'm currently CD25, 9DPO. No symptoms - just dreading any serious cramps showing up to spoil my little Hope Party!

It's true. However, with normal grief, you can move on eventually. You know that person isn't coming back. Every month we all have a little bit of hope and that just starts us on the cycle again. Grieving infertility is continuous. You can't get over it.
